Biggest hugs. Before I get into your story, your toddlers all look so pretty in their Halloween outfits. Some are looking scrumptious. I am so sorry you are getting written up and harassed at work by certain management who don't see in my opinion or seem to see mental health issues and pain issues that led to your surgery come with disabling conditions as valid excuses. Like trying to punish you for takin off for surgery in the after effect, or thinking magical your as good as new instantaneously. If you hadn't gotten your surgery done and continued you would have become a disability case that might have ended up partly on their bill, cause if SSA sees that they contributed to your becoming disabled they will fine them beauque bucks. I hope you get the recourse you deserve and get peace in your job situation. I didn't get diagnosed as having ADHD until 3 of my children tested as having it at school, and yes the other two have it as well, it runs in our family worse for the males, my dad and grandpa had it. Females often don't get detected at the beginning school level even now. Personally I was also relieved to know as it explained so much. Having a dad and grandpa who had it helped as instinctfully they found other ways to help me not get so bored in school, I hated doing homework when I already understood. I got in trouble for spacing out/daydreaming in school, answering before the question got finished and such. I needed an afternoon nap all the way through elementary. So big hugs. I didn't know "shopping therapy" belongs to ADHD, interesting. I do know what my grandpa called the "oh shiney, have to look" belongs to it. It doesn't need to actually be shiny just something you are interested in. People know not to take me to big box stores, they loose me real fast, and then I get overwhelmed... I hope you luckily don't have that one. Oh forgot to say I like your outfit.
Oh yeah I'm still learning about it ADHD. I always called it shopping therapy but what happens is we think we have to have this or that. That's how I feel and I buy whatever it is. Many times I can't decide which I have to have the most. That's how it turns into an entire shopping haul. Thank you so much for sharing your story and experiences with me and the Hive. It's been really difficult for me lately. I found out that the ADHD doesn't help my depression at all. It actually enables it. But that's another story for another day.
Hello Honeybee... Nice outfits. What sculpt is Lyric? I have seen a couple of hacks on RU-vid for keeping the doll head stable, keeping it from falling. 1.) Utilizing a modified (cut-to-size) swimming noodle (from the Dollar Tree ) inserted in the body thru the neck into the head. 2.) Utilizing PVC piping (there are different grades, using the lightweight) and inserted in the body and thru the neck and inside the doll head. Note: I've done the first method on my twin 27in Liam sculpts purchased from Aliexpress. It did help, but I may play around with it some more by either removing some of the polyfill out of their heads utilized because their heads were smashed during packaging and/or shipping. I may try the 2nd one first. This was the first time I've ever stuffed & assembled a doll.😊
