I like the idea of a slider, but I can't imagine myself going on a trail with it since it's too bulky and heavy to carry along. But thanks Bernard for these informations and Happy New Year! :)
Happy new year to you too! Yeah I totally get what you mean. I highly doubt I will bring this out on hikes. I do have a small and portable one for those situations haha
How{s going my man: this is a great video, i really like it. I appreciate if you described carefully the heads and adapters you are using in this video, looks like it's a Manfrotto Nitrotech Head (not the syrp equipment) at 6:51
Thank you for your kind words. And yes, it is a manfrotto nitrotech fluidhead. Although you can use any flatbase fluidhead you want and any quickrelease system. Now, I am using the aktiv head with this slider with their proprietary quick release system.
@@BernardLau1991 thanks for answering super fast and for your reccomendations. Looks like you tried with the first released syrp slider, with the carbon and also with the newest pro. I would like to known if possible I'd the investment worth it as a owner of the normal long track model as I am now. All the best my man.
@@joseparedes380 well, I feel like this question isn't as straightforward to answer. After using this system for more than a year, I think the price cost more that what I would value it at. I would maybe value it at 3k in total? But to buy the full set I believe would cost 5k. I don't hate the system, neither do I truly love it. But, that said, there is no alternative product in the market I feel. I've seen other sliders and their reviews and I feel like I will still go with the syrp slider. Also, the work that I have done with it has gotten me my investment back. If you use it for work, and will use it frequently, then I think it would be a good value for money. If you're a hobbyist, and going to use this only once every few months, then yeah I won't recommend this. Hope this helps!
@@BernardLau1991 Thanks for these comments, i am in that mood " Once every few months" Actually i have the Syrp Gennie II, Genie II Linear Drive Unit, and also the old original long track. Based on your review, it looks like there is an important improvement with the last magic carpet pro, but of course, is a important investment. I will make sure to keep in mind your recommendations. Thanks my man. All the best
