You should test mag bc it does affect your calcium levels....if mag is low....it drives cal upward....if cal is low it drives mag downward....they both need to be in line to keep things proper....I will skip the test here and there but I still recommend it every few weeks at least

I think its after you increase the return flow by cleaning the nozzles. Grate wasn't used to that much return flow.

Sometimes we need a reset to get us enthusiastic again. Maybe that’s what you need for the tank.

You have a lot of growth, frag everything, trade or sell frags at the same time free up some real estate for more, different coral. I believe it is still an awesome looking aquarium, we just need to change or add coral to keeps interested, at least for me. I get bored as well when repeatedly seeing the same.

Citric acid would take all of that Coraline off of the powerhead. It would look almost like new.

Sicce pump cleaner really works well I found mixing it with hot tap water works great takes about 20 minutes

I use the distilled vinegar but I don’t soak the bottom part that has the shaft attached to it

Try acans , hammers and torches. Can’t help it but Citric Acid is cheap and better because of magnet issues. 5 gallon bucket with 5” of citric water. Run vortechs and magnet is strong enough to work on bucket. Much easier. Love your content

I heard the issue with vinegar is it'll break the rubber seal and expose the magnet to the water
@DreamStateLiving
@DreamStateLiving 5 месяцев назад
That makes sense! I wonder how much usage starts to cause the damage though. I’ll keep an eye on it!

@@DreamStateLiving I think most issues occur when soaking it for a good bit, like a day or more. The vinegar just gets in the seals and wears them away. I always check over them when I'm cleaning either way.

U cleaned the retuen nozzles. More water is getting up there now because its less clogged up. So u have more water returning into the display now per second than before.

Citric acid really works for me. I leave it in the water and acid mixture over night and the next day. You can brush and things will come off like butter!! Coraline, hair algae. It’s all about minimum effort with me!

Sounds like you need to do a rescape on the tank ... Cut out the excess corals you have.... And put some fresh pieces in.
