Join Jack, Rigby and Tebb as they work on getting the broken chain out of the spreader that is still full, they need to get the machine up and running before the seeder can start.
Hi fella's, the chains have individual tensioning mounts up forward behind idler rollers. You could have loosened it right back to expose joiner links & break it there, you still should back it off to install replacement chain. Guessing its all done by now. Love ya content. BZ.
Might check with the fert spreader maker to see if there are any upgrades. Usually (in some fert spreader designs) there is strip of metal inside the spreader in the bottom (with a narrow strip of belting on top) to reduce the amount (and weight) of fert material jamming in the bin's bottom Vee corners on the floor ag chain.
I made a press tool to make obsolete links to repair a machine used in filling plant pots very similar to your chain. I keep them on the shelf so come the season (now) I can go in and repair the chain.
Just started watching your channel and I was curious if you had thought about getting some pairs of Walker electronic ears? I like them way more than classic earplugs. They would be great for any noise canceling and still give you the ability to hear.
