I was lucky enough to get the low income ticket this year. The process wasn't too difficult but there was like months of waiting to find out if I was approved or not, that was stressful.. And then only finding out a little over a month before the event doesn't leave a lot of time for planning if you didn't start not even knowing if you could go lol. You do have to submit all of your financial information, tax records, expenses, proof of how much you spend on like rent and utilities and things like that to prove how much money you actually take home. You also have to write a long essay and answer questions about why you want to go how you will contribute and why they should choose you out of all people for one of the 5,000 ticket aid tickets they give out
Thank you for all the video's you made about Burning man. The effort in order to pass through your knowledge makes you a beautiful person! Love from Holland.
Was actually excepted into the Low Income Applications. What a journey it was. To show how grateful I signed up as a greeter 2017. Maybe I greeted you! It was the harshest of Environments but everyone took care of me. I'm humble bye the experiences left at Burning Man. I'm not religious or holistic, just had the best memories of Burning Man. One of the saddest parts... never saw Project Pterodactyl.
I looked around for you last week but sadly we never ran into each other. I can say with absolute confidence that this was an amazing event to be apart of. I feel very blessed and honored for being granted this opportunity. Actually it changed me almost into a completely different person. Nothing on the internet that I have researched came close to describing the experience that I had. I must say this is really special. I am now finally home and cleaning the dust off of everything (got any tips for that?) and just rearranging my life. I feel as though I have had a restart. The old me was dust blasted (even though we really only had one significant dust storm this year) or burned out of the Playa and this new me is what survived. I thank you so much for all of your videos that you have produced. You were by far the best source of information in getting prepared for this. I am going to recommend you to everyone that is planning on going to BM in the future. BTW why was this video produced right in the middle of last week? Did you just go for the final weekend?
Wow - It sounds like you really had an incredible, life changing experience!! I love how you said "this new me is what survived." That spoke volumes!! It's experience's like yours that I hope to have of my own one of these years!
This is REALLY helpful! I have never seen a clear concise explanation of the process until now. And i always wondered why I saw some tickets at $450 and other tickets at $1200. Is the $1200 ticket the pre-sale price or the later "really expensive" price? Thank you, once again, for another excellent vid!
We won't be with you when the man burns, at least this year, but fascinated by it all and enjoyed a bunch of your videos. Should we be lucky enough to attend one day, you've got us survival ready already, enjoy!
I didn’t understand how to buy a ticket. Can I mail this in or what? Can I buy tickets at the gate? Do I need a dad- gummed computer to buy a ticket? Burning man profile?
DO U NEED 2 vehicle passes if travel trailer and pick up? what is burner profile? how much do i need 2 budget 4 tickets high end cost and low end? just finished watched about 20 videos that were very informative, i have heard lot about this event but never been the camping sounds like boon docking + festival . like what u said about low income i need 2 check it out. am on disability from cancer 4 years clean 1 more 2 remittion want 2 enjoy time have left.
To all who claim that the organization is profiting from all of this... it is run by a non profit. They can't profit from it. As far as scalpers goes, if you buy a ticket from a scalper, and it is a legitimate ticket, it can be cancelled by the organization if they discover it. They have people watching scalping sites, and they actively try to void your ticket. The other problem is that there are a lot of fake tickets. Don't do it.
Baloney! The fact that an organization is registered 'non profit' does not mean that they cannot pay stratospheric salaries to the top execs. Be honest.
Is it difficult to get a vehicle pass to because I don't want to have a ticket actually go to Burning Man but not be able to drive a car to Burning Man
