These guys inspire the hell out of me. I started my first blog in mid-June 2021 in the personal finance and investing niche. While my search traffic is still low, I’ve been hitting the community outreach hard and just had my first $200 month in month 6. Thank you guys for all the advice
What I REALLY like about you guys, and your channel is that you tell things like it is. You don't sell the crappy idea that most "gurus" do that you'll become a success and rich overnight. You ALWAYS talk about putting in the work, thinking about how to add value to others, and being consistent and patient. You've been in the trenches, you've walked the walk. That's why I listen to your talk!!! Thanks for the valuable tips.
This is giving me total confidence. My blog is only at its 20 post mark in a over a year as I only became consistent and focused from last month, writing 8-10 articles per month. I am already getting 5 dollars from affiliate marketing. Thank you for giving us a visual view of how the blog is gonna escalate.
Do you have experience in this or just saying what they say? Not being smart or anything I have a rather large blog up and have exceeded what they tell you too and seeing a bout 15 to 20 visits a day after 5 months. It’s hard not getting discouraged with such small traffic by literally being at the amount of content they expect you to be at in 18 months in just short of 5.
Love your website guys, you guys are really honest, you don't say earn 1000000 dollars per month fast, you say earn your about 2000 dollars with in 24 months. Love your work guys, keep it up 💯
Dear Ricky That is a great summary of what you teach and I think it is one of the topics that mostly concerns people actually starting blogging. Great Job! Best regards from Bogota Frank
Helpful as always Ricky. The timeline is an encouragement to keep going. It's pain when you see no traffic for months on end. Thanks for the gut check!
The hardest part for people to grasp is that the first year you're putting in a ton of work without seeing any result. Stick with it, you're closer than you think! As long as you're following the P24 guidelines and creating content consistently, you'll start to see results. Just keep at it!
@@ahsanriaz21 sticking to the plan that Project 24 teaches us in the courses. That way we don't try to re-invent the wheel, when we've already got the plan. Are you a member of Project 24 yet?
I am so glad someone tagged me for a follow up! I’m consistently at this level two years later! I used to blog and RU-vid and no results the first few months! Keep plugging away! Do what Ricky suggests! Two years later, I’m at a full time I’m one and my blog has crashed three times, so I’ve had to rebuild, and I’m still At maybe 2k page views. However, I have a very warm email list. I do also have affiliate income, but only a tiny part from Amazon! Mostly it’s PLR printables and affiliate items from the blogging world and plr content world! Thank goodness these guys also took me down the path of private label rights! Oh, and I have zero ads on my site, except some blog posts regarding affiliate items. Some are info products
Thanks so much for this content! I have two blogs that I stopped because I did not see any results. I was fed up after 6 months even though I had over 10.000 page views and only 20 blog posts published. I just did not know what to do next. I will definitely buy your course and start again ;) Thanks from Germany!
@@thearonthomas4725 It's very tough but there is a tiny little strategy you can use to go around competition. I am now building a personal finance blog and have written 126 articles and using the same strategy.
@@Siyabonga079 this tiny strategy your using, is it mentioned by Jim & Rick? I'm in the skateboarding ninch which covers everything boarding with 50 articles. By end September I'll be at 260. I also have a garden and a food blog In the works. I try to target niches that allow plenty of low competition keywords. Stellar content and good keyword research is my strategy
Woah! I got the 6 month mark numbers in less than one month! Crazy!!!! Just over 50 blog posts written, first Patreon at £5 a month (UK based so £ not $) :) Just stumbled across your videos the other day and they are so helpful, thank you so much! :D
everytime I come and check content on this channel, it makes me happy and hopeful :) 7th month of my blog has just started and I'm short of 15 posts, time to pace things up, traffic situation is exactly what Rick Kesler is saying very little and mostly bots :)
Awesome content as always Ricky. To get to this level when you aren't seeing result yet can be really discouraging, but there's an advice I always give: Make sure you have a side hustle already working for you (could be freelancing) before you start blogging. That will help bring in some income before your blog "explodes". Personally, I am a web designer, so I do freelance jobs and also use my blog to document my web design experience (therefore building up the number of posts on my website and increasing SEO). With that, in a year or two I should start achieving some great results. Thanks again Ricky. 🙂🤗👍
This video is so encouraging and heart-warming. It makes me not give up on my niche site that I'm working on since April this year and not having any notable traffic.
I am just starting out with my blog Toward Self Growth, and only have three blog posts up, but I am working my way up with a fourth blog post in the works and doing research on good topics :) thanks for the information and tips!
You guys have been super influential in my horror blog and I appreciate all the info. I’m looking to incorporate these methods with my podcast as well. Thank you!
Income School, you guys are helping me finally put my desire to write to good use. I watched another one of your videos where you said the average website with 100 posts earns about $2400 per month. That’s PERFECT for me. Heck, I will be happy if I make it to half that. Somewhere else I read the best way to get better at writing is to write 100 posts. So I’m finally challenging myself - 2 posts a week for a year. Already 4 weeks in and I am so excited. Jojo Lebeouf is the first RU-vidr I heard explain how long it starts to see results. I’m working hard and gonna stay patient. Thanks for all the great advice you post. You’re helping me so much!
Hello! I hope all has been going well with your blog and writing. I just wanted to check in and see how things are going. I am just starting out so wanted to see your progress :)
@@ChillToaster uuuugh I’m gonna be honest, I’m nowhere near sticking to my goals. Like, embarrassingly so. But I’m not giving up. I will still write 100 posts no matter how long it takes me to get there.
@@almostawalrus That is a good goal to have. Even for myself I am still only at 9 articles currently. It is hard to keep up the momentum when view counts are at 0 but after the first year hopefully we will both see more traffic taking place.
My biggest advice to you guys is to blog for passion and fun and if you make money that's a win win ! Go into this for a great adventure with passion to learn and grow but with a realization that you might not make big money and that every dollar you get is just icing on the cake! This is because you never did it to become rich!! Just good advice I can give from my own experience.
Thanks for this!!! I have wanted to start writing about a passion of mine as a side hustle for a few years now. I also get caught up with coming up with a name, choosing the right website, writing content and making posts. About 3 months ago I finally just jumped in and started doing it! Obviously there's no money now, but I am loving what I am writing about and really enjoying the whole process. IT is refreshing to hear someone lay out a realistic timeline and all the steps to getting there. I am prepared to put in the 2 years and hopefully by then I am making a little money from it, but if not.... I will be happy regardless as I am learning how to blog and how to create a site in a niche that I am really interested in.
Thank you so much for putting out such great content I learn so much and I feel comforted that I will make it as a new blogger. Out of curiosity how many emails signups do you think is feasible in a years time for a brand new blogger? Again thanks for your time.
Currently watching the video, and...curious what lavalier microphone you're using! Sounds nice -- looking forward to the rest of the vid! Love how you bring the raw, data driven details. Charismatic delivery, too -- much appreciated ❣Thank you!
you just made my day, since I'm a new p24 member, I have about 31 posts, 6 months old, my 6 month old content is at 1245 pv a month, I have earned the $5 and more than that, to! :)
Hello Theunpopularmom, what kind of promotion ou action you did to earn 5 dollars and more? I m on the same situation, 30 posts, I hardly earn about 1 or 2 euros per month.
@@justinmike9184 to date, I have about 3000 views a month before revamping my site last month and having it crash, so I just redid it again, after the crash, getting views back up,and im up to about 100 a month in affiliate sales, I will do a video soon. Ive also increased subscribers on my email list from 60 to 570 to date in the last 4 months
Good stuff as always. Could you make some more videos about niche selection? I know you have some already, I'm just having a hard time getting out of my own head and nailing down a niche to go with. 😬
Great stuff Ricky. I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on the internal linking. I have Link Whisper as well and I would like to see how you guys are using this tool.
Thank you so much for all of the information that you have provided. I started my blog but am in the early stages (10 articles). It's hard to keep the motivation to continue with no idea where this is going to go but you have given me inspiration.
I just started my website with blogs last Feb 2022. Hopefully I could attain that $4,000 month income in a few years time. That would be a dream come true, just have to be consistent and work hard for it.
Amazing content! What I like the most of your explanations is that it gives the viewer a better understanding and a knowingness about what it is going to take to see results. Thank you.
It’s still going strong. I don’t know what it looks like in 10 years, but it may still be a good business even at that point. So I’m still investing a lot in blogs.
Decentralized web? No difference to tge tradional web as far as blogging is concerned. I think you're asking the wrong question. Ask about the metaverse as it will change how people consume content.
Anaother amazing video. I have a question. I am from India so I am concerned and asking. Are these averages based on worldwide website data or are these just from US based websites? Does international bloggers earn the same? If you can do a video on earnings for international bloggers, that will be awesome.
Me too Emma. I'm about 6 months behind on traffic and about 9 months on money. I know I've made some mistakes but these videos dont make me feel any better.
I am new blogger 13 days with 14k page views and 24 blog posts waiting for monetisation. Want to be successful blogger like you. Thanks for sharing valuable tips 🙂
Do you interlink only inside your silo, Ricky? For example, if you have a silo about protein powders would you also internalink to let's say about gym dieting, or something that makes sense but it is outside the silo of (best protein powders for X, etc) ?
Thanks for the valuable info. If I have a blog for 4 years with like 10 articles and 125 PV/month, if we start with your strategy from now on, is the timeframe going to be the same as starting a new blog?
Nope. You'll rank noticeably faster but since u only have 10 artices, its not a lot of headstart. Ur blog shud be recognized better by google compared to a new blog
You always proposed, writing content in the, friendly neighbour talking style. Do you think Wikipedia, no person style could be an advantage? Basically being very definitive, or do you think injecting a bit of character and personality to blog posts helps with pageviews? Im an expert in my field, and im just trying to come across in the most helpful way.
I watched this video a year ago and actually went out and did it. After 1 year and a hundred articles, I get to 9800 pageview/month, but the EPMP is way lower than he said, more like $1. Still got a long way to go I guess.
Hi Ricky- member here, so maybe this should be posted at P24, but I've used LinkWhisper at the agency I worked for, great tool, but when it comes to interlinking topic cluster/pillar posts, it doesn't have that sort of grouping functionality- as in clustering a topic cat. ...I should ask them about that... So what happens is the hierarchy is just a rats nest. Any way, having to work that out manually. 188 post, so this will take a spreadsheet- should have done that anyway. Cheers, *A.
I started a website 3 years ago and only have one article posted. Any thoughts on running into the early traffic issues noted in this video if I start an aggressive posting schedule with a site that's been effectively idle for this long? Any reason to shut down that site and start a completely fresh one just to drive more traffic early on? I understand regular, quality posts that are unique & helpful, optimized for SEO, etc. etc. will ultimately drive traffic, but is there any advantage to be gained from starting completely fresh to get off on the right foot?
If you do that in Spanish, what are the number you would expect? I have a website around 2k pageviews a month (6 months old) and I barely get 20 cents per day on ezoic
