Although CameraX is still useful as a wrapper around Camera2, it's still hasn't solved the biggest problem, *photo quality*. It doesn't matter what configuration you use, in the end Camera2 just fails to deliver good photos. Stock camera apps from Samsung/LG/etc all make better photos due to OEM specific wizardry. Photos from CameraX/2 are blurry, badly lit, less crisp, cropped weirdly or have color issues. If Google actually tested their API with something other than Pixel devices they would discover this in 5 minutes. And yes I have tested this with every possible ImageCapture configuration. I know Google says they have "test device farms" for CameraX but they probably only test compatibility and if the camera initialized correctly.
do you have a benchmark on this? I've tested on a samsung device the stock camera vs a third party camera based on camera2, the pictures seems the same to me. except those with camera2 look like a bit of zoom in is applied
some code to show the solution of when the image is saved, the image is rotated 90 degrees, it does not take the orientation of the device, please help

Please make VideoCapture official and help du to access the pixels during ImageAnalysis so that we can process the frames using with sth. like RenderScript.
