In June, I bought a new X-H1 from Amazon.ca, when I receive the package, I noticed the sealing void label on the camera sealing bag is opened, and it is wrinkled. So I contact their costumers service, and they exchanged a new one for me. Same situation as yours. Not sure if it is a common thing, but definitely checking for the quality of packaging helps a lot.
I don't usually comment on youtube videos but I just had to on this subject. I had the same experience buying an X-T2 from Amazon.es, void label had been opened etc and it had been updated to the latest firmware which had only just been released. After taking of the body cap I also saw a white speck of dust on the sensor and dust on the main body controls. After a little research on the internet I realised that the battery supplied with this supposedly new camera was in fact from an X-T1 an NP-W126 not S version. Anyway I decided to take some photos to try the camera and when I pulled them up on my PC the shutter count was over 3000! So I called up customer services and told them the whole story, they offered me a replacement and apologised etc, but what really annoyed me was that they didn't seem to care that some-one had replaced the battery and the charger (it was scuffed up) from an older camera. Anyway thanks for the video Randall, keep up the good work.
