here cuz in the uk we fish uptiding. we walk towards the incoming tide usually the right hand side say walk 30 to 40 feet cast out, walk back to the rod holders paying out line to create a bow which helps lock down the bait. check it out bro. atb
Easiest way I've found too set sinkers firm in strong current is to offset them by 500mm - maybe just use a clip to attach second sinker on bottom hook section? Lighter 3oz on "top" and second 5/6oz on the end Holds better than anything, but don't use rubber bands on the bottom one - the upper sinker acts like a shock absorber so can be tough to break it out
