We will stay in this hotel that is in a excellent location and within walking distance to many restaurants. We will show you a full Walkthrough of this place and what they have to offer. #Gettysburg #civilwar #qualityinnBattlefield
You know. with everything going on in the world, I love sitting down with a coffee in my cozy chair under an Afghan and watching these videos. These videos take me back to a simpler time.I think we all need this these days.Thank you both for helping me get through my day you truly show all of us life the way it should be.Plus the food is great too lol
A perfect location, you are right. They are very warm and accomodating there. When the reenactors encamp at the Heritage Museum, they allow them to use their restroom facilities. You are right the pool is always packed in the summertime. Love this part of town. Glad you liked it. Be well and blessings !!
Stayed there with my parents in 1964 and last week as a senior citizen. Nice old style 1960s motel with all of the 21st century features. Literally on the battlefield and can walk to just about everything in the town. Very clean and the staff were very friendly and nice. Breakfast buffet was free and tasty.
I was in that exact part of Gettysburg about 12 years ago. We saw a Civil War reenactment there and then we toured the new civil war museum that just opened that year. I love Gettysburg.
Might have seen you there. Go to the reenactments also. You need to go back. Some of the attractions have closed down like the President Wax Museum and a few others. 😎😎
I like staying in hotels with elevators.like the tub. Last hotels we stayed in.we threw the luggage over the railing and it would land on the bed of our truck.love the indoor pool and outdoor pool.🤠😎👍👍👍👍👍
Wow, that looks like a really nice hotel. And I like that balcony since it's private like that. If I ever get to Gettysburg I'll keep this in mind. Thanks for the tour.
I stayed at the Quality Inn on Steinwehr for decades, and was there last week. It is older, and looking a tad work in places, but the rooms are clean, and the location is great. The rates go down after Thanksgiving. You nailed it.
I was there in 1998. There was a Shoney's diagonally across other side of the street. I liked their salad bar back then. Knocked it down put something else up. I got up early in the morning and walked up the little hill with the great view of the battlefield.
I love Reliance Mine Saloon!! I was just there 2 weeks ago staying at the hotel. I was there for the Lincoln Speedway opener {ICEBREAKER} for sprint cars. February 25, 2024. Town was rockin! I walked to the square. Fairly easy walk. Bars there were hoppin! I ate at Blue and Grey. Great spot.
Always stay here when I go to Gettysburg. So conveniently located. I have done ghost hunting for several years. On most occasions, I have a quiet night. However, the last trip, I had horrible dreams every night and my K-2 meter kept going off all night. Creepy.
Wow, Haven't seen a floor model tv in a long while. We like the designated parking spaces for your room. Unfortunately most hotels don't offer room service anymore and not sure if that will ever come back. Looks like a nice quiet place to stay.
I'm so glad that I found this video!! Hubby and I will be staying there during the Remembrance Day weekend. We have never stayed at this hotel before, but it was the only place available. Like the two of you, we enjoy this part of town and love being able to walk to the different places and the cemetery is right behind it. Will you be there for the celebration this year?? Thanks for all of your great videos ~~ especially the Gettysburg ones!! 👸💜🍁
We love Gettysburg. John and I enjoy walking around the town and battlefield. I don't think we will be there for the celebration. Enjoy your stay when you go.😎😎
Mark 14:02 OMG had some good times there, while we bar hoping around town as we entered the shaft we Stacked up to move down the hall (tactical stack, we had guys in CW to Nam kits with rifles) as we set up to hit the door a old couple came out and we scared each other lol
thanks for your vids on Gettysburg. This video would entice me to stay there if I ever go back. I haven't been to Gettysburg since '90 or '91. That soil is sacred!
We are staying here next week. Excited to see that they have an indoor pool too. Website didn't show that so I'm pleasantly surprised. My kids are going to be so excited
Hey there j&b it's my second day here in Gatlinburg I enjoyed the video of Gettysburg that quality inn that was a pretty nice place considering it with a little age on it I love the bar that y'all went in and when you go in through the mind guys I'm going up to Gettysburg in the fall I'll have to get with y'all and see about some good places to go visit well guys till next video take care God bless
HI FRIENDS! THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER GREAT ONE. I WOULD NOT MIND TO STAY IN THAT HOTEL, AS LONG AS IT IS VERY CLEAN AND I KNOW THAT I AM SAFE TO HAVE A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP AFTER A LONG INTERESTING DAY OUT. AS YOU GUYS, WE ALSO NEVER SPEND THE DAY AT THE HOTEL, ONLY SHOWER AND SLEEP THERE. DURING THE DAY WE USUALLY EXPLORE AND ENJOY OURSELVES WHEREVER WE GO. VERY NICE HOTEL AND AREA THOUGH. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING AND TAKING ME ALONG ONCE AGAIN. GOD BLESS. VAL
We stay here every time we visit. There are six of us and we always stay in their three double bed rooms. It’s the only room that we don’t have to book two rooms. My kids love the outdoor pool! We also walk everywhere when we stay there.
Another area I've never been too, but that would be interesting, I love anything that has to do with history. I don't mind an older hotel if it's clean and safe, we just stayed in an older hotel for my daughters wedding, it was under renovation, and there were things I would have like to be updated but I haven't had a better nights sleep in a long time and to answer your question, does anyone use the in-room coffee makers, not me, but my husband always does. Thanks for taking us along.
This is our favorite hotel. We always stay here. The two historical plaques outside talk about the battle and the original cabins that were there. They still have one on the property. The staff is really nice!
Yes. Stayed there a lot. Usually second floor facing battlefield. Hotel is basic and dated, but fills the needs of vacation. Planning trip there june.June.. maybe September as well. Lunch?
@@frankcarone3769 Years ago when my children were much younger we went there for dinner & dessert 🍨. Many locations then, even in malls where we did our shopping. They offered a free dessert after dinner, a choice of flavors in an ice cream glass with whipped cream & topped with a 🍒. Ours kids loved that. We lived in NJ. As far as I know there is one still operating in Hackettstown.
Definitely love staying in this location. My last stay there 2 years ago was ok. My windshield on my car got scratches from a key or something. Haven’t returned there. Hope you go back and do a new review. They have done renovations.
@@jbinthehills oh me too. I go several times a year. Have made a few friends along the way. So it’s always a wonderful visit. I am a member of the Foundation and the new Museum Beyond the Battle. Thank you again for your videos.
Thank you, J&B, I love this youtube. I stayed 2 times at the Gettysburg Hotel at the Square, and is was very special. I've heard of the Quality Inn at the Battlefields. I will try it on my next visit. Looking forward to your next trip experiences, especially on Gettysburg. Stay safe!
i am barely into the video and just LOVE the one of you two by the statue. sadly, here in va and near dc, where i live, the libs tore down all the statues and history like ISIS did in their towns. its really disturbing. so, its refreshing to see happy people living around history without all that drama. ok, so, back to watching the video. :-)
