I was thinking the same thing. Quite a long wait for nothing much. Even some of Nintendo’s emulated games on Switch run at an increased resolution and 60fps. That should be there bare minimum for Enter the Gecko in my opinion.

@@y3ldarb2 He’s mentioned it a few times. Apparently copies of Gex games are very common items for him to sign. He told a story about going out to game stores and seeing if people were interested in the game after the launch, because he and Rob Cohen worked fairly close with Crystal Dynamics when they were making the game.

Typically they can only talk about voice work after it comes out.

Completely remaking 3 incredibly popular games from the ground up and releasing them together for $40 is one thing. Completely remaking 3 more obscure games from the ground up and releasing them together would be a lot riskier.

Bro the first Gex released during a time period of CRAZY video game experimentation. Especially on the 3DO console. Today it might seem strange but in the early 90s almost everything was trying to push the boundaries of "Normal" games lol. It fit right in with all the other inventive titles during the time. Videogames were weird bro, FP Shooters were barely even starting to become a thing. Doom and Gex are from the same generation.
