Really like that you review budget firearms. I'm not broke, but the reason is, I tend to pirchase budget friendly guns. Ruger, Canik, Heritage, and such. I may take a look at this one too. Thanks again!
The "branded" pistols are, generally speaking, overpriced. Especially in markets OUTSIDE the USA. In Europe, handguns are 20-50% more expensive; even the Turkish ones are more costly too! I'm a mechanical engineer (small arms major), and the price of a polymer is pretty much the same for Glocks, H&K's, S&W... Yeah, there are different versions of polymers, but the price difference is negligible. The polymer chassis production costs are under $5. I believe that the whole production cost of a striker-fired polymer pistol should be under 80 USD. In Turkey, due to the low hourly wage, it is probably even under 50 USD. The most important parts of the pistol are the barrel, firing pin, and magazines. Yes, slides (bolts) are important too, but if you'll experience any material problems, it's going to be on those parts that are exposed to blasts, mechanical shocks, and magazines. I have heard that Turks are buying barrels from Germany, so if true, the barrels are as good as the ones on Glock. The Turks have one GREAT flaw: poor quality control and, thus, a poor brand image. Canik, in my opinion, has managed to improve even the brand-image part...
I don't think Ruger has been in the budget category in a very long time...if ever. With that said, back in the early '80s I remember their bolt-action rifles running about $80-$100 less than similar (comparable?) models from Winchester & Remington.
Anyone on a strict tight budget looking at getting a light weight (From what I see) Reliable pistol, I would say this would be the one for the money, The parts for the Glock and Magazines available interchangeability really (IMO) make it one of those best buy pistols, Turkey takes a bad time for firearm products, however, they produce firearms of reasonable quality for a realistic price, some of their shotguns are exceptionally made and roll stamped with the Big names, So why would premium brands have their products made there? Because they make good stuff, That's why. anyway, that's my two cents, Great review - Dave
Hello Dave. I have reviewed Weatherby and Winchester firearms made in Turkey, and you're right, Turkish firearms are good stuff. Canik pistols and Tristar shotguns are also excellent firearms made in Turkey.
@@mixup98 I strongly regret that we as a nation can not produce quality firearms of the craftmanship of the mid of the last century, firearms that have generational heirloom quality as much as a Swiss watch, many factors contributed to the page turning on that age of firearm golden years. We here in the U.S. have a special right to own firearms and that's part of the reason, We are a small consumer base regarding public sales, So, the cost to produce and market, the cost of distribution, the cost to operate a business to sell plus make profit for all those reasons makes it too expensive to offer prices that are realistically affordable to the public. You and I see the quality that was lost (Smith & Wesson) for one. The 80's brought the plastic stocked rifles to the counter of gun stores and now you have to pay through the nose for a domestic made wood stocked rifle or Shotgun now. So, that leaves the overseas makers to fill a demand here. That's the way it is. - Dave
The magazines that come with the pistol look like KCI magazines for G-19. I don't own any Glock mags. My 2 P80 gen 3 G-19's I use Magpul and KCI mags...they work flawlessly.
Great video! Saying it is a G19 clone and then presenting a side by side comparison was excellent - and then you swapped the slide and confirmed fit, which did answer the question in my mind as you anticipated. Now the question for me is will I add one to my collection? Probably, especially at that price. Oh, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing your son's photographic work - it was a nice change of pace.
I always like your shooting videos, but honestly, I didn't think there were frogs living in that area. That kinda surprised me. Seems your son knows something about photography also.
@@fokkerd3red618 I was informed by several viewers that the little critters are actually red spotted toads and not frogs. My son and I found toads in an old mine several years ago and maybe we will go back and see if they are still in there. Should make for an interesting video.
Exactly, you can find LE trade in Glock 22's and 23's for $250 to $300 and then buy a 9mm conversion barrel and a couple of mags and be able to shoot both calibers for about $350 to $375 total. Or just pay $300 for the Glock 19 or 17 if 9mm is your thing.
The issue I have with ALL Glocks is the grip angle actually forces my hand to twist to the wrist in the direction of the small finger that I lose sensation in the hand. True from a G19 through a G41. Most of the 'clones' don't have that sharp angle on the grip, so work far better for me. I kept several Glocks for range days, but got rid of several because I honestly can't use them for carry if after 10 to 15 minutes I can't feel my hand.
I’m with you on that. But I did trade in my Glock 19 for an Sig P320 M17, which I carry… I just like having a manual safety. I’ll probably get a Glock 21 for the nightstand.
I’ve had problems with that CCI Blazer 124 grain recently at the range using an ultra reliable M&P Shield that will eat anything else I feed it, including steel case Russian junk. I think it’s possible that CCI had some issues with recent production runs of their 124 grain.
Hello Sir!! Man that first target you popped was magic; that 2 inch group mag dump.....you're good! Anyways, I'm kinda scratching my bald head on the Glock mag slide lock issue. But that said, Now I want to go get me one of those pistols. :) Good to see you two today!! Blessins to yas
Great review on the G.Force RPX9!!. Regarding the slide release issue, I had the very same slide release (Glock OEM), with same problem, specifically when I shot Major Power Factor (~177 - ish) handloads in USPSA / IDPA Comp several years ago. Quite simple solution indeed: Carefully uninstall it, then 'straighten' its return spring some 35° degrees, (Harder to operate), and presto. Most my Glocks had the 3.5 lb connector + Lightning Strike Titanium striker + some surface honing + a couple Custom fitted, FULLY supported bbls to avoid higher pressure handloads' issues Thanks for sharing your kid's photographic Masterpieces, which are absolutely gorgeous showing our Almighty Lord's🙏 supreme job regarding our Wildlife & beautiful Outdoors!!.🏆. So many thanks & Blessings to you both for your truly dedicated / professional work!. 😊🇺🇸💪🙏🙏🙏🙏
@@JRNY87 I'm not 100% sure on the compatibility with this one. If I had to guess, I'd look for a trigger that fits a Gen 3 Glock since that's what most of these clones are copying.
I appreciate the thoroughness of your testing and diagnosis regarding the slide lock issues. It seems to me that the Glock mags position the nose of the 124gr bullets just close enough to the slide lock tab to engage it. 115gr ammo of course has a smaller ogive to the bullet so they weren't "kissing" the slide stop tab. Just my "virtual" assessment.
My thoughts exactly. In the 1911-or-revolver days, this was a common problem with different bullet weights/styles, but this is the first time I've seen it limited to one mag type. With a 1911 one would trim the slide stop just a wee bit to allow the bullet to get by, but still let the follower hit it proper. In this case, I'd just use Magpul magazines, after making sure they run my preferred SD ammo of course. Those concerned about using found magazines in an emergency may think differently. Being able to use much cheaper reliable mags is a huge plus for first time buyers on the hot dog ramen diet. When asked what he recommended for first time buyers, hardcore 1911 guy Uncle Clint said with zero hesitation: "Glock 19, and 20 mags." As for recommending GForce, especially compared to a used Glock, I'll wait until we see some long-term testing. A lot of cheaper guns will work fine out of the box, but wear much faster than the bigger name brands.
When that slide locks back, I would try dropping the slide release just to see if that wears in. Can't always expect the best from cheaper clone alternatives, but any gun should run regardless of price, especially in a situation where it's needed. I've heard of similar problems with people's PSA daggers, but I got lucky with mine and haven't had any issues whatsoever. Mileage always varies!
I like a good bargain! I have a Beretta APX (Brazilian LE surplus NIB unissued) coming - $299 from AIM Surplus. If we lived close, I'd bring it to you to try out. All of the reviews are great for this pistol and like you, I just find it hard to pass up a bargain like that. Thanks for another great vid! I always like to see your son in these with you. I enjoy the bug and frog stills too. He needs to do his own YT channel with bugs and frogs and the like - dessert critters.
Wow, a Beretta APX new in the box for $299......I'm jealous! My son takes beautiful photos and he has won several photo contests. Maybe he should do a few instructional videos here on youtube but in the meantime I will keep showing his photos in my video reviews. 👍😎
So glad the Gen 3 patents expired. Alot of gen 3 clones out at good prices. Glocks should be around these prices since basically the same gun since 85. And most of these clones have better grips
*Wadayaknow; firearm manufacturers making "glocks" the way people want them made, and proving Glock can give you more for your money than they do.* *I have Glocks, but I always after market TF out of them; I like this better than a Glock, and am glad the Turks give so much value in firearm manufacturing.* *Thanks for showing it, and the glitches of CCI ammo.*
My experience with the RPX-9 has been frustrating. Accurate, yes. Reliable, heck no. Slide locks just like this video shows. Add to this GForce's customer service is non-existent. Magpul mags do a bit better, but this is still not a reliable platform.
You're a wise man. I want to like this pistol. When it shoots, it shoot amazing. It fits fantastic. But just like this video, the slide locking back is maddening. 30+ occurrences in my first 60 rounds. I purchased two Magpul magazines, which did a bit better, but still had the problem over the next 105 rounds. I reached out to GForce arms over a week ago, and have tried several times since, they have ignored me. I'm done with this boat anchor.
You said it.. win win. Now they just need to offer a 10mm mos. for half the price of a Glock mod 40. 36 rounds of reliable shots from the factory mag. should be plenty, unless you are a 2023 LEO. That was a dig on those that fired over 50rnds at a perp. I appreciate our LEO's and they know it.
Good morning Mixup 98 and, as always another excellent review from my fellow Nevadan ! I still think Polymer 80 has a better Glock clone than most companies and they are made in the good old USA ! Do a review of the polymer 80 Glock 19 clone and tell us what you think.
At that price, I would be totally satisfied with the mags that came with the gun. That's a great price and it shot flawlessly with the mags that came with it. I could not believe the insides of that gun. Inside it's a Glock. Hope the patent expired or they are in deep doo doo. I would have definitely bought it at that price. If I carried that gun, I would not use Glock mags; but that's just me. Thanks for the video. I will be on the lookout for that gun in my area. 🤠
I remember years ago when S&W was sued by Glock over the Sigma pistol, which infringed on Glock patents. Fortunately for GForce the Glock patents expired years ago.
I think I'd go for the PSA Dagger, esp. considering they've always, always got good deals on them if I wanted a G19-Gen3 clone. I've only seen good reviews on them so far, especially on the newer models. I've seen GForce arms semi-auto shotguns reviewed before and those, surprisingly, seem to work quite well.
Ran into the slide locking back on a couple glocks and on some p80 builds. The fix for me was to just open the spring hoop up just a bit to give it a little more pressure. Not just a clone issue has happened on at least three of my glocks
@@mixup98 I will admit it was a more common issue on my builds. I found on those part of the issue was there was a shelf under the stop that was impeding it from going fully down just a little shave with razor knife or chisel cured the issue. Keep up the great work love the videos!
Turkish handguns are really competing with most name brand pistols these days. I have a BRG Elite 9 that out shoots my Glock. The 124 gr in the Glock magazine is an interesting quirk. But in all honesty most of the mags I run rarely completely glock anyway. And if I can't stop it 15 rounds of 115. 124 ain't gonna save me. And for less that 300...I don't know, seems like a good deal.
What's that about the sincerest form of flattery? Objectively, you cannot argue against the Glock. Subjectively, sure- they ain't beautiful, but a tool is a tool. Though not a Glock fan boy, I do love them for how they shoot personally. Ubiquity is amazing too- parts, accessories... These clones- some are amazing copies, and hey- capitalism! Some Glocks are budget-busters...
I don't understand why you're upset that a GForce Pistol doesn't like "Glock" magaziines. It was flawless wtih it's own (and all the others), so what's your beef? Glock doesn't like all other magazines either. The other day I watched a youtuber who was supposedly reviewing a Palmetto State Armory Dagger Micro. Only, he put a Glock 43x Upper on the PSA and used Shadowsystems magazines. While firing it had multiple failures to feed, and he said the PSA was not as reliable as he thought. WTAF ??? People just amaze me. I have no clue nor interest in this GForce, but from what I saw, it's a pretty damn accurate and reliable gun.
Outstanding test and way to pin down the exact issue. I would have no problem at all with that firearm, it ran great but for the one ammo type in the one mag, and ZERO feed or extracting issues, weird really that the 124Gr in the Glock mag would not cooperate. Regardless this is one I will have to pick up if I see it here in KY. Thanks for the great review!!!
It is weird and I wonder if a different brand of 124 grain FMJ ammo would have the same problem with the Glock magazine. I will eventually pinpoint the problem and then I will probably do another review showing the solution.
Typical Glock trigger… Always shot well with stock Glock triggers I like the frame on the Gforce Would look nice with a Dagger slide 😊 I only see this pistol sold through Sportsman’s Wearhouse … for $275 I remember seeing this pistol on You Tube before PSA started mass production of the Dagger platform They were late being imported…
Appears the aftermarket Glock prefers aftermarket magazines. That’s a good looking pistol but I would still pay and cry once for an original Glock for reliability.
I was trying to find a double barrel, chrome plated, 20 gauge shotgun video that you made, and I wanted to know the make and model of that chrome double barrel 20 gauge shotgun. I cannot find it anywhere I didn’t know where you purchase is at I know it was a Turkish import, but I couldn’t find anybody who sold it. Would you mind helping me and putting a link to that particular firearm thank you sir keep up the great work.
It seems like there's not much reason to buy a Glock brand Glock when there are so many clones available for less money and with better features. The Glock brand Glock's quality is probably better but for most people the difference is negligible.
Not really a fan of Glock. Don't think I would jump at a clone. Maybe the Bul Armory only because they make top notch firearms and at least corrected the grip angle. Just too many other options out there at really great prices these days. Even from companies with proven track records. Not saying there are not some decent options coming out of Turkey. I would pick some of those other options over a Glock clone.
All Glock branded Glock mags are not the same depending on when they were made. There have been several different subtle changes made by Glock over the years to their mags especially in the area of the follower. I have 3 original Glock mags for my Glock 23 40 S&W where the follower is of a different profile. Depending on when the Glock mag was made the follower can be of a different profile and that may allow the pistol you're shooting in the video to be either more or less reliable. In Europe the 124gr bullet is the most commonly used weight in 9mm and they are normally loaded pretty hot as NATO ammo is pretty hot so it should run that bullet weight but it may require a mag that it is compatible with to do it reliably.
First off, thanks for always putting out Grrreat videos! Something to maybe look into. The Glock 9mm double column mags now have a total of 9 slightly different followers in them that I am aware of & I believe three variations on the mags & at least two 10 round only mags for the model 19. Although all seem to work well in any 9mm Glock (as far as I know). Your clone's magwell may have been designed slightly different & did not take all these Follower variations in mind. It may just be the specific Glock mag & or follower that you just happen to be using during filming. I think with the exception of Glock's very first 9mm mag follower, they all have a number molded into them at the top front, that you can readly see while looking straight down into the mag. Many but not all are interchangeable, as one of the changes glock made on the mags was the slight variation in the mag opening where the follower seats when empty. (The cuts on the lip where the followers seat varies slightly & not all followers will seat fully, leading to problems) Maybe switching to a brand new G19 mag that has a #6 #7 follower factory installed will solve the problem for you.
Wow, I saw the same exact sales ad. I did a quick search for the GForce RPX9 and found this video at the top. To be fair, I have a Taurus G3c, so I'm not really in the market for something like this, but the price is not bad. To be honest, it would make a fairly solid back up sidearm.
"Not so bad, eh?" Are you kidding? Your shooting was amazing, and the pistol performance was equally impressive! Very cool that you let your son post the photos. Those were very unusual looking frogs. Thanks for what you do!
Gives SCCY a good run for the money and probably good as the Taurus G3 models. I may have to get one since Glock magazines are everywhere. Looks like a BB pistol. Hello from Lubbock Texas again. 249 at Sportsman's Warehouse. Can even pay through sezzle in 4 payments.
Those were red-spotted toads. Found in the south-west deserts and in Mexico. I'm down by Kingman, AZ and occasionally see them when out exploring in my 4X4.
Another viewer also said they were red-spotted toads and I looked them up and sure enough...they are red-spotted toads. Thanks for watching my video and I appreciate the information.
Picked one up Friday, can't wait to run it through the paces. Well I took it to the range the next day and ran 8 magazines through it and had issues, now I didn't clean it before hand . I have since cleaned and took it back to the range and ran 13 more magazines through it and only ran into issues towards the end of the last magazine it started having the same issues of not going into battery.
So had it at the range ran about 150 rounds, used blazer brass 124 grain. Ran good did have about 15 issues requiring tapping the back of the slide into battery.
I've sent 160 rounds downrange over 2 visits, numerous occurrences of not going into battery., even with Magpul mags. This gun is a dud, and GForce doesn't support their product.
I love good barging firearms. recently I came within a hair of buying a colt cobra. instead I bought two Taurus defender 605 in 357 and love them and well under the colt in price .I lost no sleep over my decision. I bought 8 Taurus/ rossi pistols/revolvers in through the years and everyone of them flawlessin operation ,accurate, reliable. there just as good as my higher value Revolvers/pistols. I definitely would buy another Taurus product. I would like to shoot your test pistol, I might get one like it. Papa wishing you well 😊
It's easy to sell a cheap gun when you have no R&D department, said the Clone CEO. Another enjoyable video and great photography by your son. He shoots well with a camera and a firearm 👍
Thank you for these videos. I absolutely decided to buy Rock Island M206 snubby after watching your videos on it. Best $200 bucks I ever spent. I usually don't buy the budget brand firearms but watching your videos and Hickock45 and Big Daddy Hoffman's videos has changed my mind on certain budget guns on more than one occasion. So thanks to you and your son and that was some amazing photography.
Great review! Im am now wondering if the 147 gr. will work through it. Especially full power! Its an exciting pistol for that kind of money! Thanks much! God bless all here! 😊😊😊
Very enjoyable video. I like budget pistols and the models made in Turkey seem to be pretty respectable. I have a couple Girsans and the quality is excellent. Looking forward to your next video.
I got a stoeger(Turkish)str9 and it's a Glock gen3 clone for $219. It has not had a malfunction and runs all ammo I put through it. Good video , I love budget options
But the Stoger mags are proprietary aren't they ? I don't know why they companies make these glock clones but then turn around and make the mags different or the internal parts are different or the slides aren't interchangeable ? I just picked this Gforce yesterday but haven't had a chance to go to the range yet... But yeah... from my understanding (I don't own a Glock) this Exodus RPX9 is fully compatible with all Glock 19 parts which is why I bought it.... I've been wanting a Glock but haven't been able to save up for one and seen this Gforce for $250 and pulled the trigger... lol👍
Some of the best guns I've bought have been cheap, no-name guns. Turkey makes some pretty decent handguns that hardly cost anything. They also make some good break action shotguns. Their pumps and autos, however aren't worth taking for free.
Actually I own two Tristar Raptor semiauto shotguns (made in Turkey) and we use them every year for upland game hunting. I also reviewed a Weatherby semiauto shotgun, also made in Turkey, and it was also an excellent shooter.
I live in SC and have 2 Daggers, one was $250 the other was $300 both have ran flawlessly with Glock mags and after market mags no ammo issues with anything I’ve tried.
I can't make any promises but I will see what I can do. I will probably order a new Glock slide stop and do another review on this pistol. Hopefully that will fix the problem with the Glock magazines and I will try to have some 135 grain ammo on hand to test.
Hey! Those are some beautiful pictures! Do not handle the frogs without washing your hands after!! The more colorful they are, the more poisonous they are!! It is the bullet ogive profile touching the slide stop on the inside. Especially blunt round shapes.
Bet if you put a factory glock slide stop in it it would be fine. The slide stop for some reason it hitting the 124 round and getting lifted. My guess.
