Raizal Khadijah When you pretend to sing live, but actually just use a backtrack. As far as I know, all K-Pop groups lip-sync with a backtrack that's supposed to sound live every now and then.
GFRIEND is one of the few groups that rarely used a backing track for performances. They like showcasing live vocals, like their idol friends MAMAMOO like showcasing live vocals.

김태연 yes true.. most of fans just choose visual than vocal.. and other reason is because gfriend debut from unknown/small company..its really hard to be popular if they are not from 3 big company..but gfriend have prove to all their fans that they use their true talent to become successful like what they got now.. they really work hard for achieve all of that.. im so proud with them..

BTS and Gfriend success is really touching, they're not from the BIG 3 yet they managed to top the charts, win big awards, and even repair their company facilities. I read a korean article that not even a group from big 3 (Twice) was able to dethrone Gfriend from music charts.

During their perf of Rain in Spring time, you could see Eunha holding Sowon's hand and feeling really nervous. She already mentioned that she's not confident with her singing when she was on Masked Singer. I don't get why, she's been asked for a lot of collaborations already and had sang an OST, I wish she'd be more confident. She has a really great and angelic voice and it's a waste if she doesn't use it to its fullest.

It's so funny how excited the crowd gets when the music cuts off. They know how talented the girls are and they know the backtracks only hold them back. Hopefully someday idols will be able to perform without backtracks. It's what the fans want.
