I have these. They have the attack of a jazzmaster pickup (with 500k pots) with the growl and bass response of a p-90. With overdrive you get a very thick telecaster but not quite p90, classic rock and roll tone. Definitely not a dearmond/dynasonic but very unique in it's own right and it doesn't quite sound like anything else in a good way, highly recommended for that thick single coil sound. PS: don't ever let Ear Slick near your channel ever again, lol.
My new favorite pickups. I put these in my Gretsch almost a year ago and they are so much better than the stock Broad'Trons. Thank you for making these.
The surf 90 pickups are surprisingly good and they sound more Gretsch like than the Filtron pickups. The Trainwreck in the back of the clip is a Rocket and not a Liverpool. The Liverpool has five knobs in the front panel where the Rocket has four knobs.
these, in my opinion, do an excellent jazz tone, without the pat martino-like covered with a pillow type sound that a lot of jazz marketed humbuckers can produce, the clean tone of the guitar can really shine. It’s not too shrill in the high end though, it can be very fat when you need it to be.
Salut, en toute modestie j'ai trouvé un son assez sympa qui s'en rapproche avec des "P/90 de chez "Guitarfetish " , soit précisément des micros ..."surf P/90"...sans se mettre sur la paille.
Halfway decent sounding pups.!. To me they sound much better clean. However you skipped out on half the technical stuff, such as pot & capacitor recommendations. You sure did say "subscribe" a lot 🤣
