Anyone who has theories about why gg was the way he was should read about his childhood. He wanted to bring danger into rock and roll because as a child he was in constant danger.
I can't imagine how ANYONE can top this guy in terms of outrageousness and over the top depravity. I have a friend who is a film student and a fan of his. He would kill to interview someone like GG.
I was at this show. This and the previous one at Medusa's in Chicago. At the Chicago show GG pissed and shat on a huge bible and an American flag, then flung the bible at the audience and it hit me in the chest. And I was on acid at the time. . . golly, life was weirder then.
This is going to sound weird but I was at the hard Rock Cafe in Chicago and displayed on the wall near the table I was seated at was the Bible that G.G. pooped on at that show.
GG wasn't part of any scene, he was his own scene. Original punk bands are a thing of the past-basically 76-89 were the years. And now we have people who think nirvana green day offspring are punk-think again--discharge, DK, black flag, bad brains &GG!!!
I know most say this guy was a crazy guy but honestly I would of definitely attended his shows seems fun as fuck. I like to just see total chaos go on at a show that's real punk. and no matter what you guys say gg was definitely punk in every sense. A real Anarchist.

(Jesus Christ: given birth name ) is honest. and in your face with how the world really is. ive reacntyl stared listenign to this stuff and its good the live stuff is diffrent from the studio but at least its real and not fake like most the trendy crap in the world today they spwe out obcenitys but hide in in their silly litte songs. GG didn't make much money, & what he did was probably was gone within a few hours. He made lots of records/tapes/7"singles/cd's too-I hope he got some but the record companies probably kept most of it.
I was at the bar the other day, and I got pretty fucking drunk. People were doing karaoke and I thought I would do a GG Allin song. I asked for one and the karaoke guy said "Who is G.G. Allin?" I almost dove over the counter in a drunken rage xD

I'm kind of wondering,had he lived longer,if he would get tired of doing the same old routine when performing? I mean,how many times do you need to beat up your audience or take a shit or eat it if you're 50 or 60? I wonder if any of his band mates ever just wanted to play and make money and not have to deal with the violence and the schtick GG did every time? I'm sure some of them would have liked to have open up for someone famous or play in 1000 seat theaters..you never know.
He probably was beginning to get burned out by this time. Some shows in 93 like this one he was tame others he was pumped. I guess it depended on what drugs he was on at the time. I have studied alot of his shows on youtube and before prison he was angry and frustrated always throwing tantrums on stage. After prison he had a stable band, a girlfriend, and some publicity on TV. He had less to be pissed about.
@theshow201 I think it 's just like... Knowing what he predicted, he got more and more drunk & used more till that time came, so he always got in trouble before halloween
