To hear Richard be proud of Lorelai to the point of tears gets me every time. I honestly was annoyed that Emily wouldn't let him get it out at first. So lovely....this moment.
Edward may not be here anymore, but had the producers of the revival known this was gonna be his last episode, I can´t think of a more perfect way to say goodbye than this one.
To me, this was a perfect ending. Although this serie got canceled last minute, I felt this was a pretty good scene to close out the series. Even after watching the revival, which had some good moments here and there, this was perfect. In my mind, the revival doesn't exist. This scene leaves the future open ended, bright and full of hope. Luke reunites with Lorelai, Rory joins a campagne, and we got to see everyone at Stars Hollow saying goodbye. Even the grandparents basically said sorry for everything to Lorelai.
My thought exactly, alot of people say didn't like Season 7, but I thought it was perfect ending. I thought instead of the revival , Amy should have came back with a 2 hour movie to have wrapped up the series. Had Lorelia and Luke get married, Lorelia open her new Inn. Instead of Rory being pregnant had her come back to Stars Hollow , somehow she comes up with the money to buy the Star Gazette and start her own newspaper.
Richard's so kind here... The tears come already when he says all those things to lorelai, and then when rory says "I love this place", aww.... And Taylor's hug! :D
Emily said (ok I don’t know word for word) “oh come on it’s not like you two are saying goodbye” but it was.. it really was.. and it was such a very nice/touching moment.. R.I.P Richard Gilmore
"We had to cancel a lunch for the Stutgarts because we only heard about it last night." "I didn't say it matters, I was only relating the facts." "Of course we wouldn't [miss it]. We're her grandparents." "Oh please ! Don't become one of those 'I had a heart attack, let me express my every thought' types !" "OK ! That's enough, it's not as if the two of you are saying goodbye." We love you, Emily Gilmore ! :-)
I hated Emily when she said that's. She has to make a bog deal out of everything. And o wanted to slap her every time she interuoted Richard when he was talking to Lorelai.
I love Gilmore Girls so much! This scene is incredible all around....Rory's speech especially, and what Richard says to Lorelai. Very touching and also funny and sweet. A perfect series that I still miss.....
That little hug when Taylor rescues Rory from being on the threshold of gushing is so sweet! Although I don't get why Rory gets a huge going away party, but no other kid did... It's like wtf made her so special?
@@iamgrootgroot1042 thank you for explaining the love that the townspeople have for Rory and Lorelai, for that matter. Some people just open their mouths without thinking, that is if they are capable of "real thinking". It annoys me greatly that they leave a comment that's non-sensical😡
Lorelai was going to throw it, but then it got canceled, so Luke, who's basically her stepdad, through a surprise one. Her parents throwing her a party makes sense. Towns let you rent out their spaces for events, and the people there were her mom's friends who watched her grow up. It makes sense.
I can't help but to cry from this speech. I just want to buy the dvd seasons instead of books. Bookstores remind me of Rory and starbucks reminds me of Lorelai.
rory is going on a trip to acompany obama on his campaign, they are saying goodbye, rory and logan broke up, he asked her to marry him, she says no and he just said: "bye rory", lorelai is staying in stars hollow so she has to say goodbye to rory, too
Is it weird that I want to be Lorelei as a mom instead of Rory (who's clearly blessed beyond measure to have such an incredible mom) as a daughter although am only 20.
