Amazing Eve story. I once was running H8tless' advanced mission strategies, and saw him in space. He greeted me when i said hello and invited me to watch his stream. I love how Eve places player characters at the center of the story.

That Eve Online story is what I love about gaming, you meet some random individual 10 years ago, then you by chance meet them again in a completely different space. Warms the soul :')

Wow, had no idea Ziz played Eve Online for a while. I probably played around the era he was involved, and his analysis of the game is spot on - it's a lifestyle. Reminds me of this dude ParadigmBlue who would triple box Drakes when they first came out. He was a terror because no small gang he came across could break the tank.

Its probably not a bad idea to break out a racing/flight sim foot pedal bound to shift key. I already use a separate numpad keypad all bound to mouse click so i can piano mash the shit out of em. Foot pedal will free my other hand giving me that sweet dual wield bonus on mash speed.

I finally get why i like ziz. He and I had very similar EVE experiences. Tho EVE U didn't exist when I started. 9 Years running 4 accounts. No asteroid was safe.

UGH... Eve Online has FOND memories??? They turned it into a JOB. A job you actually PAID your employer to work at! I used to be in Cry Havoc, BoB, a couple of others. I podded one of the top tier commanders in the game at the time... from within his own fleet... and escaped. That was when Snake implants were the Thing to Have and cost over 1bn ISK (when it took weeks to earn that much instead of a couple days or even hours, now). Damn I wish I could remember the names. Suffice to say I was out of that alliance immediately. ;D
