If I tag socials, then this should be done for ALL players (without a single exception), and not just for one person. Socials of some players can not be found (players with default nicknames, some Asian players, etc). I am convinced that it's extremely dishonest to tag contacts of few people and not to tag all the rest, so there will be no social links in description.
But I respect the players whose matches I post. Therefore, if you are sure that videos presented "as is" are not acceptable, I will stop posting content with your participation and remove the ones posted earlier.

With Gobou being one of the only players that believed Goldlewis had potential when no one else did (during its initial release), and the fact that he won Redbull Kumite with Goldlewis; I figured that it would be appropriate to post his thoughts on Goldlewis in his current state. To start off, I guess it comes as no surprise that Gobou stated that they have completely quit playing Goldlewis; but not due to determinants such as the character not being all that strong outside of WWA - well, that is a partial factor, but the main drivers appear to be that he believes GGST big characters are boring, as well as disdain. Moreover, Gobou doesn't necessarily understand why overseas players (NA/EU) put Goldlewis as a top 5 character. However, he did have this to say regarding ranking Goldlewis in its current state (translations by me), *"If there was a ranking of shamelessness, it would definitely be at the top;"* and, *"What can I say about GGST's big character adjustment policy in general?"* *"You're cheating too much with your lunge technique (White Wild Assault)"* - and finally he said, *"I just don't want to touch that character anymore."* Ouch... It's amazing how being boring, and 白WA can shape one's opinion of a character. Not only did he state that Goldlewis players are, well... carried if you will, but they also pointed out the brazenness of these players as well. Please don't take this as disrespect to all Goldlewis players; I do find them skillful players, but I also believe that Gobou made some good points as well. My apologies about the long post......

😭😭😭 did Gobou happen to explain why he didn't understand why goldlewis is so highly rated, like because his strengths are overrated or he has some major weaknesses?

@@thgrimreaper9341He doesn't think Goldlewis is strong outside of WWA, and he also expressed frustration with Goldlewis seemingly receiving nothing but nerfs throughout most patches in this game. So those issues definitely played a factor in why he doesn't use the character anymore - and in addition to that, he still mained Asuka when he wrote those messages, and they did not like fighting Goldlewis as Asuka at all, so...

It feel like every risc with combo-string going to do hell lot of damage because they already add that much amount of chipp damage, rn they boost damage regardless of guts existence. Character who already owned high damage brings you down or near to death experience.

I think it's because she's the 2nd hardest character with arguably the most execution heavy stuff in the game and if you fumble the high execution stuff you or lose round start you lose the round

With Guilty Gear being a game with unique characters, it's different than your typical fighter - due to the fact that you simply cannot place a character in a character archetype box, like in the case with SF. Some GG character archetypes and move sets inherently counter other characters, regardless of their tier placement. For example, Asuka at his strongest was probably 3 tiers above Axl, but Asuka vs. Axl has always been debated as a candidate for one of the worst match-up in the game (and Axl's best MU) - by both players. Then we have Bedman?, who is by no means a top tier character in any region, but Ashihana believes they have several winning match-ups against top tiers (I posted his MU chart in another video). So, going by that logic, it would make sense that Jack-O' has winning match-ups against top tiers; but you do realize that Asia considers Jack-O' to be around the same rank as Asuka in terms of character strength, right? Many tier lists always had her in the top 5, and there is almost always a Jack-O' player in top 8 in a stacked Asia tournament bracket.

@@tireiron33 Yes and no, if they round start getting very much advantage or carried to the point. When they literally can knockdown take away hp without any effort like here we got the best example. Even big-body vs zoner mu doesn't matter anymore. So, yes . If we look at chaos vs gold Lewis old match then kind No. At least make to a certain degree punishable.

Yo, I was thinking the exact same thing, if that’s “high level” play, the leagues must be brain dead. I felt my gamer rage seethe watching Jack’o block but still take SO MUCH CHIP DAMAGE, only for him to grab at the end? The actual fuck did I just watch?
