Zato is so damn cool. Every victory feels so earned. Check out 9:23 by the way. My boy gets a free attempt at a command grab because the Oppose seems to block the DP for him despite the fact that he’s standing in front of Eddie. I had no idea it could do that and that’s awesome. There is not a character in all of fighting games that I feel the need to pause and rewind videos as much as Zato. It took me like an hour to watch this 10 minute video lol. Because trying to understand every little thing he’s doing is crazy. There’s so many layers to it. I occasionally have to go back to SF6 and my Zangief so I can turn my brain off. Zato-1 (and Asuka) are melting my brain.
The trailer only showed one notable buff, which was mostly a return to something he already had before nerfs. So good revert, as now the command grab is a much more potent threat, but he has a lot of other problems that need some love still. Otherwise he's still being power crept by most of the cast rn.
