Yep, I'm rewatching again. I just realized when Robert meets Mac in the diner to tell him about Holly, the backround music is playing "I fall to pieces each time I see you again" Perfect song for the way both Holly and Robert felt after seeing each other again.
Always have to laugh when I hear Holly talk about how quickly Robert moved on. C’mon! Robert was single for YEARS after her “death”. And that’s an eternity is soap opera time. Usually, widowed spouses move on after a few months on those shows.
I understand your point. However, from Holly's perspective of coming out of a 22 - month coma it was quick. It was longer than the normal scenario we see but it wasn't years, though. Robert was to some extent involved with Autumn in the later part of 1987, Cheryl beginning in the Spring of 1988, Katherine 1989-1990 and Anna in 1991.
@@deborahvanbeuren8557 I guess it depends on how you look at it. But Robert wasn’t married or engaged to Autumn or Cheryl nor was he really serious about them. So as far as I’m concerned, he was single for years after Holly’s death.
@@jaredjlinden Well put. Holly only mentioned Katherine and Anna. Holly came out of the coma around February 1989 and Robert was engaged to Katherine in December 1989 so I'm looking at it from Holly's initial perspective and how she likely would have felt that it was only months. With Autumn and Cheryl, I found Robert to be the same playboy he was before he and Holly married so you're right he was single.
I watch some extended storyline I learn a few things, Holly had a sister name Paloma like Robert she did not say she had a sister I don't know if she found out later. This sister was in South America and was a freedom fighter for her people. However after she came out of her coma she went to South America just to try and get away and some fresh perspective I guess and she got involved with this man that was on the opposite side of her sister and later tried to kill her so Ms Holly did not tell Robert that when the queen was asked if she ever got involved with anyone. These s/l was not on this channel it was on another channel bc she and Bill Eckert became involved he was Luke Cousin. He cheated om her with his first love and she paid him back by working with someone behind his back and got a painting taken away from him she then decided to to back to England
I don't know why I re-watch this. The acting between Tristan and Emma is great. But the scenes between Robert and Holly are so full of such emotion, both happy and sad. That I cry though the whole thing every time. I hope when they get back to filming Emma is well enough to have some scenes with Tristan. I still want to know if they are still married after she threw those divorce papers in the river. Also I want them to admit that they still and will always love each other even if they don't live together.
I want Robert to admit that Holly is the love of his life, not Anna. Praying Emma makes a full recovery & can come back to GH to be with Robert. She understands & loves him more than any other woman ever has.
@@vickirichards6578They were good in their day but I much prefer him with Anna, then Katherine. As far as what the characters say it's so hard to go by😮 because it's so heavily dependant on what's written at the time. It's been written both ways so I just go by my personal opinion.
