Hand held test footage of my surrounding street using the GH4 with Cine Like D picture profile at night.
This GH4 test video was shot in the default CineLike D picture setting with -3 contrast and +2 hue. All shots are with the Iso set to 800.

I'm having problems with low light, I'm sure its cause I'm using a crapy lens with slow glass 3.5 -5.6 14-42mm.....are you using cannon lens or panasonic?

Can you do a GH4 Low Light test that shows what the eye sees compared with what the GH4 is able to pull out of it? That would really be helpful. Thanks in advance, Jake.

this is AMAIZING, can barally believe this is gh4 footage, till now i coudnt get anything close to this with my gh4 with speedbooster xl and sigma 18-35mm... whats your secret for this GREAT footage? Im really really crazy about his dude. GREAT JOB!

I use the gh4 with the speedbooster and the sigma 18-35 mm f/1.8. but some how i get a lot more noise in the darker areas. I tried out so many profile settings and stuff like that, but I think I get noisier images than orher people. any advice ?

I've found similar results when shooting a low light music video on gh4. If you light it right and apply a little noise reduction (neat video) you shouldn't have any problems

Hey! Everytime I watch low light tests on this camera makaes me wanna buy it ASAP. I just have one question, what about the battery does it lasts? I'm currently with a canon 60d and a Sigma 18-35 1.8 (i'm gonna get a speedbooster to use it) And the 60d's battery lasts wayyyy a lot, like 4-5 hours of filming.

G&M Media-Design Thanks! So, I presume the NR was set at 0 and no noise reduction in post. Correct? Looks really good for ISO 800.

Beautiful. Nice compositions and colour. For RU-vid, you can take the iso way higher though, RU-vid kills noise ;O)

Hey man nice vid! I have a question , is an important one so please if you know something answer me! : I have the Tokina 11-16mm f.2.8 but I have an iissue with the focus!! All my wide shots when Im at 11mm with an aperture 2.0, ISO 200-800, with the speedbooster ultra, these shots are out of focus! How yours are ok with that? Am I doing something wrong? Thank you for the tip ! I've got this lense, and i'm very closed to buy the GH4. Just another question : How does the speedbooster act when you have got a manuel lense on it ? I've got a very good samyann 80mm but's it's not electronic , do you think the shooting still possible on such a config and this lense ?

No problem.I tihnk its perfect.. I mean I have the Tokina now which is manual and I have some Panasonic lenses which are electronic... You have the option of manual focus all the time , which if you are filmmaker is great! Also, I would suggest to wait a little bit to see if you can buy the GH5 ... Just a recomendation... I think its not so messy with the crop factors etc.. Check details about it though!
