Those people who are just toying with the Ghana currency should be warned that, should anyone make a mistake by tearing the Cedi Note or putting it on the ground and trample on it, that person will be arrested and prosecuted by the Ghana law enforcement agencies and subsequently deported back to wherever he or she came from. Many Europeans and Asians have had to be prosecuted because of the Cedi notes. No one hates anyone but laws must be respected.
Ghana cedis is better then Chinese currency and Russian currency even South African Rands but does it mean Ghana is more developed than those countries? Currency is just a legal tender and is not a yard stick for development. An economist will explain better. Remember this year is ur own election, we will sit back and eat popcorn. It’s turn by turn africa limited.
Jux as I use to say Ghana is by far expensive than Nigeria bro …ah ah how can u be paying 11000 naira for only five bottles of beer 🍺 in Ghana ??? In a local bar ooo
Mr manager is one of the few sensible Nigerian I have ever come across. If this man becomes Nigerian president, Nigeria mumu would have stopped. He is the only reason why I still believe there are some few good Nigerians
Ghana money is useless money, I am Ghanaian, from takoradi, taadi guy. I want the cedis to be the strongest money in the world, if not, it is useless money. I want the top money for Ghana.
@mafiooato7233 you want ghcedis to be the strongest currency in the world but any government comes and to put measures for the cedi to be strong you the same Ghanaians will stand up against it you have to eat what you grow and grow what you eat secondly tell those who are using the ghcedis for blood rituals and those who help foreigners in Ghana to bundle the dollar out without passing through the proper channe
@@Freedom20255 that's not my point tho don't speak on things when you don't have facts and the worst part Ghanaians don't even know that they were basically the villains in this can you imagine deporting people 2 times even during a civil war and then years later only acknowledge the retaliation it's annoying because you guys aren't taking accountability
The money no good,if Nigeria should do denomination of numbers as Ghanaians did it will also be the the same thing..no value.most of this folks don't kniw
Why are Nigerians not protesting against hardship. Ghanaians are protesting against football underperformance. Why are Nigerians so laid back when it comes to their economic hardship?
Nigerians aka Zoogerians are always interested in things that are not important like music awards, titles, but economically, Nigeria is nowhere closer to Ghana in terms of everything..Nigeria has failed miserably and it takes a wise person to know it
My Ewe friend who went to Aflao for a funeral ceremony told me that, when he was coming back to Accra, the bus that he boarded was full of Nigerians. Our boarders need to be tightened or redraw from ECOWAS.
The demand for cedis for marketing in Ghana by the African countries, because Ghana has become a marketing center for Africa, so the demand of cedis is high.
If it is that easy every country will do. Take a class in economics and know the difference between redenomination and devaluation. Redenomination does not increase or decrease the value of currency.
Immediately after Ghana did theirs, then Governor of Central Bank, Charles Soludo wanted to do same, but the rich and influential in Nigeria kicked against it.
@@geoffreyosuji6166 The redenomination is a tricky terrain and there would a need to educate the public over a long period for them to buy into it first.
The reason why the cedi is more powerful is that our vice-president has introduced gold for oil, Ghana doesn't use dollars to buy crude oil anymore ,instead, the bank of Ghana purchased more gold to exchange for oil, so bank of Ghana have more dollars, that make the cedi more powerful.
4:33 I now understand why Nija ppl dey Ghana like that... I have 1200 cedis on me now and I just calculated omo wowww like if am in Nigeria I go enjoy like that
I am not against African going to another African country to seek for a greener pasture, my problem is that they should not go and destabilize the people and progress that the country they’re moving to is enjoying. If you’re a Nigerian and you moving to Ghana, make sure you coming to work with your hands. They’re a lot of opportunities that the indigenous Ghanaians are not taking advantage of. The construction sector is good learn a trade and come and you will succeed.
You all should stop this comparisons. Ghana and Nigeria are two different countries hence their way of living and their cultures can’t be the same. Y’all contribute to the enmity between this two countries cause no one will want to loose out so they will all want to defend their countries and then lead to another thing. We are one people irrespective of where we find ourselves so let’s put stop to comparing people’s culture to others and let love lead ❤
Is okay, enjoy your Cedis, Nigeria had no issues with that cos right now they are on the battle field fighting their government, things will be bad for a while but if they get it right, it will be a huge uplifting for them, and no one brags about currency though cos is fluid, it goes in every direction each minute,so Nigeria doesn't mind at all, they want everyone to enjoy when their hard work pays, and right now,,they are fighting for better tomorrow, by fighting curruption, terrible leadership and so many other evil that is pulling their nation down, they know that their nation is worth fighting for.
Money is a trick. The value that the people put on their country determines the value of your Money. You have to value everything in your country more than everyone else's country. The people are the value in their country. If not , their money gets devalued. It is all about currents. The current in you Determines. in the value of your currency. Love and respect the people in your Country and your currency. We'll get value.😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
C50 is the equivalent of C50,000 so when you transfer it to naira you get a lesser amount equivalent and a higher purchasing value. The Cedis is a facade remodelled to look good, but really not having any real value rather it has nominal value. Money is measured by value and not quantity or amount.
@@samk6417 If you were born when the redenomination was born ask yourself if you have gotten value from it ( sure there were some advantages). But all it just did was prevent people from carry a lot of cash to buy essential items. Exactly what happened in Zimbabwe. You do the math
You don’t know what you talking about . Old cedis and ghc are not the same currency. After Ghana came out of HIPC, they restructured their economy and changed the currency. If it is as simple as cancelling 000s, Zimbabwe will be doing that
Ghana is very hard,I give to ky kidds 100 GHC to school everyday, then that means if am in Nigeria,I can do a whole lot with that money, I don't know any one there, and am scared of Nigeria
@@princeagordzo1414 mind you I’m a Ghanaian born in Ashanti region(Fumesua). Went to kumasi high school(Gyiyaase)and work at KATH teaching hospital before moving to 🇺🇸 USA.(NJ)Be humble okay
100 Ghana cedis is 1000,000 Ghana cedis just that it was redenominated in the year 2007. four zeros was virtually removed from all their currency denomination. For example Now 1 Ghana cedis use to be 10,000 Ghana cedis but because of hyperinflation in their country then, they reformed their economy and redenominated their currency and removed the four zeros from 10,000 and it became 1 Ghana cedis so on and so fort. Before in Ghana, (prior to the reform) 10,000 can purchase an Italian shoe but after removing the four zeros from the 10,000 it became 1 Ghana cedis but can no longer buy a bottle of caned water. This may happen in Nigeria in the future if the economy keep deteriorating.
So naa that small change you go end for village? You go arrange till 99 years past before you get 2 million ogar come yash down here and wait for tomorrow
Don't be deceived, most people don't really know that naira have more purchasing power than the cedis. I have know this for a long time if you think I'm lying prove your reasons. I have lived in Ghana for years.😅😅😅
Ghana just reduced their currency with two decimals, the money now has value in the international market, but the purchasing power in Ghana remains the same, thereby putting Ghanians in hardship (earning less and spending more).... This is the most stupid thing any govt will do; forcing your currency above the coast of your economy, thereby subjecting your people to suffering..... Ghanians has no reason to celebrate this bcoz they are the ones suffering while foreigners are gaining....
You use Currency to buy value most value you find in ghana you can also see the value in Nigeria except electricity supply ghana is good in this area.assuming Nigeria have stayble power supply Nigeria will have been better because is a big country.no dout ghana currency will be a little bit more valuable Than Nigeria Currency.per capital or per one person Most ghania enjoy What Most Nigeria do not enjoy.that is electricity.nigeria is a strong er country is just that we have a leader that is not patriotic.
How is it that they voted that man into power? What is his background in economics? The man don't know what he is doing. The world is laughing at the man. Ridiculous of the mindset of theo people that saw him as the person to uplift the country out of poverty. Smfh.
Mr Manager please if you have this guy's number, please link him to the two brothers who are masons that you interviewed on your channel the last time. I mean the twin brothers..
I guess your naira is even better than pounds because what that money can do in Nigerian is much more than what it can do in the UK. What do they even teach you in your schools.. Your analogy is very poor. Your understanding of issues is bad. No wonder you don't have peace
Illetrate who doesn't understand the economic system and how things work... The nigeria naira has high purchasing value in Nigeria.. Than the cedis in Ghana.. What you can buy with 12 thousands naira in Nigeria...is much more than what you will buy with 100ghanian cedis in Ghana... So of what benefit is the Ghanaian cedis to ghanians?
Per your analyses, the average Ghanaian can live comfortably in your country without difficulties if he or she decides to stay and work on his or her own.
It would be good not to compare Cedis to Naira. Cedis is the 3rd strongest currency in Africa. Naira is not even close, being 30th or 31st on the African Currency rank. Do some research. I have a Nigerian friend who ones used the words "common Ghana" I replied to him say, I am a millionaire when I move to Nigeria. 😅
There is no secrete it is just the Nigerian Naira losing value, Probably becuse of a lot of imorts and also it is probable that More and more nigerians prefer to transact in currencies other than the Nira. It is a vicious cycle.
