Ghana's Capital Town: Mahama's plan to relocate from Accra - how feasible under next government? 

Listen to Mahama's speech again. He did not say moving the capital. He said moving some government services. There's big difference.

Some of us are shallow minded. Before he say anything he has the plan in place. If he was able to do all the projects in 4 years, he has all planned out already

Nothing should be moved to KUMASI or ASHANTI REGION.........................

They need to move Parliament to the centre of the country.. my preference is Bono Region... that's a perfect equidistance from the corners of the country.... currently it too far from Northern Ghana where MPs travel 10 hours to and from their constituencies... at the centre it will even out so the max time will be about 5 hours....

Afram Plains will be a perfect location for a new capital, northern parts of eastern region and the north eastern part of Bono region. They are only few villages which will be good for the government not paying large amounts compensation. Part of the landscape is flat, the availablity of water is super the Volta river and lake is right there. Let's plan a new capital for government business, Accra will be the commercial capital. Kintampo or any other town will be too expensive too many compensation, we need a virgin land to build the city. Afram Plains is the best place.

Mahama shouldn't have built the new Kejetia market. It seems he's helping the Ashanti region more than their own NPP government.

Capital is not Strategic, crowded, flood Prone, Conjested, dirty. The Center of the Country between Tamale and Kintampo may be appropriate 🙏🏽.

Accra wasn't properly planned, everybody was building rough . We need a city that is properly planned with sanitation , good roads, and everything. In Canada, only few people live in the administrative capital the same as other developed countries.

Which part of the video you played did the man say he was going to relocate the entire capital from Accra? He emphatically made it clear that Accra would still remain the national and the administrative capital, but some of the govenment services would be moved out of the city in a bid to decongest Accra. He even went ahead to mention the time frame of the entire project, which he said, it can take up to twenty years to complete. He never said he was going to do that in his 4yr term in office so that if he doesnt complete it within his 4yr term, y'all will have a reason to demonize him and tell him all kinds trash. For some rare reasons, you chose to abort that side of the tape. Is that how y'all do your journalism in Ghana? Very unprofessional of you. Very disappointed in you.

A good policy anyway, but JDM cannot implement it: 1 He could not complete Saglema housing projects how much more relocating a complete capital. 2 His honey moon is 1yr. 3. Appointing of ministers CEO etc. 4. Feasibility studies of the location where the capital is going to be. The time is too short for that. Forget of your coming back.
