They're protective styles to preserve our hair, because if you always wear out your natural hair it's damaging by brushing it etc it breaks really easily
OK why does Ghanaian I see on here or in public only claim the popular tribes?it doesn't your better than another tribe in Ghana. And I hate how your not considered Ghanaian until you claim asante or Fante, or speak twi?.
You speak English, so, how were you able to live in your own country when you were little, have ghanian parents and not be able to speak twi or ga?! The fuck! And you look proud of it too 🙄
How can you have Ghanaian parents, be brought up with a language and stay in the country for months/years and still NOT be able to speak the language? Shame on you and your parents!
Michelle Asare I feel the same as a British Ghanaian, I always get made fun of not knowing the dialect. A Ghanaian woman from my church said to me “oh I never heard you speak Twi before” because she thought that I was East African and the fact that I speak English. I found this ignorant. English is the official language of Ghana although there are native languages.
