My Wife and I visited Ghar Dalam cave around 15 years ago, this video brought back happy memories. It is a very interesting place to visit, and I would recommend it to everyone.
"Cave of darkness" is a bit of a mis-nomer. Dalam comes from the arabic word for Elephant so "Elephant Cave" may be more appropriate. I understand the confusion many Maltese make with the word "Dlam" - Darkness. Many thanks for your interesting video
Ghar is Cave. Omni Malitija. Thank you. At one time, the Med was desert, i believe before European and African "waterfalls" eventually filled it in. It's only generally about a mile deep. I consider it a mini ocean. At Crete, it gets to much deeper on the Helenic Trench. Perdonna lilli jekk, ughx.

Unfortunately its a Shame that not all of the cave is open to the public only half of it is the new part of the museum is great but the old part needs updating as its very old fashioned I went a couple of times and was very disappointed expacally with the cave itself
