The director of this movie may not be famous but he has made an excellent movie. Gulzaar Saahab, Bhupinder n Mitali Singh ji ko naman. All the actors are geniuses. 👌👌👌👌
I've always loved the songs... grew up listening to them. Today finally watched the movie. Born in 80s but I think I was there in those times. I probably must have died in 70s 😅.. take me back .
70s film, I watched it couple of times and it doesn't fail to bring tears. Just that in the storyline ,how a strong young lady succumbs to marry a rich old man ! It didn't go well. Brilliant performance by Amol palekar! What a natural actor
I was just 10 yrs when this film released in mangalore at central theatre ....wished to watch but due to lack of money I couldn't....but now in u tube I cherished my olden golden days aftr watching this masterpiece movie ....❤❤❤❤uuuuuu

Film is halicyon of my pleasant days of childhood ,when i saw this movie.Lyrics ,each dialogue is stituation based carrying deep feeling.Film was smooth tiding last but interval where it took serious turn to still intense.Zarina wahab looked so damsel and appealing in her tumultous life of journey.Amol palekar at his best.This film is worth seeing far better than new stuff ,with no story,no feeling,and no societal message ,contrary vulgar languageand non sense dialgue and hero and actress are shown in non gracious exposures.All praise to makers of this film Vow Phooldaan mein rakhdo ge to jad kahan milegi Apni mitti to doondhti chali aayi hogi Second part of bhupendra voice song is mystical lyrics so deep ...Big AAA

Felt very glad to see actor TPS Jain ji in a positive as well as in an impressive role. All the characters were helpless. Chhaya didn't want to leave her love, Sudeep was in desperate need of money to buy a home n Modi didn't impose himself on the other 2 ppl.
Reality of life then and now. I loved this film in early 80s and still love it. A masterpiece. Also the songs are heart touching. Every dialog and every scene or situation as a deep meaning. I can feel every emotion the director wants to send as a message. Thanks Gulzaar ji.
रेत के घरौंदे दिखते बड़े अच्छे है पर वास्तविकता से मीलों दूर होते है,सागर का एक लहर भी न झेल सका वो घरौंदा....लेकिन वो इमारत खड़ा रहा जिसकी नींव मजबूत थी। Always live the life in facts n that's the moral of the story...nice movie.

बहुत मर्मस्पर्शी कहानी है घरौंदा। साफ सुथरी सामाजिक सार्थक फिल्म। आज ना तो ऐसी कहानी है ना कलाकार। आम आदमी जो अपनी छोटी मोटी नौकरी से भला कोई कितना बचा पाता है? लेकिन रहने के लिए घर बनाने की जद्दोजहद में रोजाना पिसता रहता है। अमोल पालेकर जरीना बहाव श्री राम लागू सुधा चोपड़ा और टी पी जैन के किरदारों ने दिल जीत लिया। प्रेम कुमार छींपा 30 मई 2024
