Happened to us in a 14ft Jon boat in Sebastian area running from a storm and my buddy shifted his weight and went over that fast! Ended up hanging on to a resume, normal speed, sign, covered in barnacles getting help from my passer by an hour or two later
These boats are barely one step above a fishing kayak and must be treated as such. I’ve been fishing out of gheenoes 20 years. Once that rail catches the water it’s going under in half second. Once the deep cycle battery falls out then it’s def rolling over losing everything.
I converted an old johnny 15 vhull into a nice little flats boat. Could grab on one rail like the girl and pull urself up without boat tipping much. Nice for lobster diving in my florida keys.
Ahh,like 95% of the time it’s operator error they will turn the skiff to hard and drop the top rail into the water , if you drive sane the skiff is fine it’s not like they were in rolling sea’s , they were lucky they had people there to help them out , didn’t see an automatic bilge turn on 👈🏼🤔
