I grew up with ghibli and when I told my friends about it they were really confused it took me a few years to realise everyone grew up with Disney and hadn’t watched a Disney movie until earlier that year😭✋🏻

The best feeling to have for me is when I’m watching any studio ghibli movie at 12pm-3am

The fact that these notes in this particular pattern make hundreds of humans feel the same longing and nostalgia for something that doesn't exist....that's magic. That is what magic is.

30:24 "See what you can see with eyes unclouded by hate." This line made me weep at work. The main conflicts and themes in Ghibli movies, especially Nausicaa and Princess Mononoke, are analogous to many of the conflicts we have in the world today, and it makes me profoundly sad that a lot of people cannot see past their hate.

The Howls Castle one is definitely my favourite. Also the bit were he says "Sophie your hair looks just like starlight." AAAAA that took my breath away. Just needed a minute to calm down after that. (Howl is soooooo pretty)

A total and complete work of art. I have listened to this whole list so many times now, being someone who is growing up with Ghibli it really gives me happiness and memories.
