@@gottago1885 What I heard him say was that the issue is that it's too hard for him to sing live not that he forgot. He doesn't want to struggle trying to hit the high notes live.

Dude this song is top tier difficult to perform. Try it out yourself and you'll see. It's not impossible to pull, but you need to work it out really hard.
@@knightfall9394 you' re talking sound OPTIONS , i ' m talking musical ROOTS , i ' ve rarely heard a band's music and vocals so influenced by MERCYFUL FATE , tobias forge is a huge fan of king diamond and co , that's a fact ... and on this particular track , he perfectly succeeded !!!
This song is barely mentioned in the Ghost repertory but it was the first I listen to from them and the one that made me curious to know who they were. It is the one that started it all. I was suprised to know that they were a contermporary band despite the style of an overlooked and forgotten band of the 70's
@@robirobi5950 Venom very famously have a song about her. Not the style black metal would be known for obviously but arguably a proto black metal in certain regards.
why did they take down that video featuring countess dracula and hostel parts ? Thats what made me love this band in large part. I realize it was all unauthorized but it was awesome and went better storywise than any real music video ever did.
This kinda sounds like a less energetic King Diamond song (the singer, not his solo band), the riff sounds like Gypsy by MF and the voice sounds kinda like King in Charon. The chorus reminds me of the Church of Saint Anne. Honestly, if this was a filler song on In the Shadows, right after A Gruesome Time, I wouldn't bat an eye
Something about Ghost has always puzzled me. The music is great but thought it shoulda been way heavier. Especially with all the theatrics and imagery I'm expecting this crunching wall of sound that never happens. And as great a frontman as Tobias is the vocals have always been weak. The lyrics are there, the riffs are there, just never made my jaw drop like everyone else. I know I'll get allota thumbs down for this comment but always felt something was missing with Ghost.
Ghost was never meant to be a pure metal band. They make poppy and catchy songs with a heavy undertone. Also their style is basically every pop, rock and heavy metal band from the 70s and 80s. This album is probably their most doomy, I personally get a heavy Pentagram/Sabbath Vibe from it.
@@Metaltherebel92 I know they're not a pure metal band and I never thought of them as such. Like I said musically the band is mega talented but the vocals are just average at best. Btw Sabbath and Pentagram don't belong in the same sentence as it's offensive to both Ozzy and Dio to be mentioned with a so so metal band that only a metal purist would even know of.
@@xDPx-zh7vr Well Tobias writes all of the music completely by himself. I think he keeps it more simple because it would be ridiculously difficult to write super complex pieces while being the only composer and player of multiple instruments
