I wanted to end this in time for Sir Fluff contest, but I really don't have much free time ;-;
My computer kinda sucks and I work too slow as well, maybe I could finish in time, but it would be a rushed work and won't have the good quality that I wanted
Also, I read every comment you guys made, and it makes me so happy 💕✨
I wish I could've posted more animations, I have so many ideas but no time to make them.

Look, the moth just lost the popularity contest with the fork, and got angry about it. Though the fork may have been the aggressor, it was really the smaller moths' fault for just forgetting about the big moth and making it angry.

what incredible transitions, composition and animation!!! i mean it! the animation of ghost slides so well with how the music does, amazing!!! the part with hornet’s spikes is so good with that perspective/ 3d view

Thanks! That hornet part really gave me some headaches haha I still want to change that spikes part, I redid this part 2 times (the first was she throwing her needle and jumping out of the screen, but the animation was really floppy) I plan to make she striking the screen with her needle and making a nice transition to quirrel Maybe I'll post a comparison version on the community tab, so I can see your opinions on my progress ^^

I love how smooth this and how well you can tell show the emotions of the characters! Plus the monarch wing scene is literally so amazingly smooth and pretty accurate to how they work in the game. (Also side note the lyric “I’m a ghost” matches up because they are literally called Ghost XD)

He is confirmed to be an empty/pure vessel throughout the game actually. As the white lady put it “It was tarnished by an idea instilled. But you. You are free of such blemishes. You could contain that thing inside.”, and then later if you listen to her after acquiring the void heart she says “That pulsing emptiness... Truly, it has been transformed by the revelations it found. Does it... feel anything? Triumph? Or hate? If it does, I cannot sense it. “. So it would seem that we’re a truly empty vessel, despite the choices we can make for the sake of gameplay.

Though at the same time there’s some implication from a few things that also imply the opposite. Shades are a manifestation of lingering will supposedly, the void heart is said to unite void under the bearers will (though just before that also mentions an in constrained within). So in the end it has very significant points for and against this idea, so both seem possible but neither truly certain. Maybe we’re only truly hollow once we get the void heart charm, or maybe we never were, and any attempt at sealing the radiance was doomed to fail.

@@maxdunn4756 On the one hand, will and mind aren't the same thing. On the other hand, "no will to break" sort of contradicts the concept of the player character having a will. I think we are truly hollow, but are, to quote the godhome statue of the knight/shade lord, "void given focus" - a directed manifestation of emptiness (contained in a shell). While it's a sort of contradiction, it's good enough for me.

@@lucasriddle3431 the ghost its not "hollow", the concept of "hollow" in the game doesn't exist, at least in our view, because pale king look to the Hollow Knight and think that him is hollow, but him isn't, and the ghost have the ability to think, to "talk" and a bunch of other things, and all the other vessels that we fight in the game have the same abilitys so probably none vessels are true empty, they just need will to contain the radiance (sorry for my bad english i used google translate :v)

I think no vessel is hollow. There are instances where the knight actively thinks and makes decisions. Any attempt at sealing it would only prolong the stasis over hallownest. The only true way would be to destroy it. You must unite the void, or give it focus. At the very least you can’t maki it to the radiance without a single thought.

I hope you add dynamism and detail to every scene. I don't want to sound like a professional, but I want to say something. in that moment with the falling masks, the hollow was in the frame for too long, I think that to fill these 2 seconds, first the heart of the king or the soul of emptiness will fly. so the dynamics will remain
