@User Name don’t worry about people’s opinion. It only matters whether you’re into this type of game or not. Many people praised spider-man game, I played it and unfortunately it wasn’t my cup of tea. That doesn’t mean the game sucks at all, so you see it is all down to your taste of whether the game is good or not.

The wind thing is so smart .. I remember when I played witcher 3, the majority of the game I was looking at the minimap in the top right and not focussing enough on the world itself ..

Same with me. Its my default in most games to look at the mini map in the corner than the world. Ghost of tsushima is going to take me out of that comfort zone and I'm both excited and a little tentative because of it 😂

I remember I wtached a youtube video of a guy suggesting to go to skellige, turn off the hud completely from the settings and go around exploring .. was a great experience, cause I actually was IN the game and exploring..

The best music transition in game is when you exit the forest on your horse for the first time alone. That build up, the intensity pitched just right, you could feel it and I absolutely love that. Especially with headphone settings.

Yep. And it's not just fluff, either. Most reviews gloss over the sound and music, and they'll maybe talk a bit about graphical fidelity. Karak goes in on all of it, and I absolutely love it. He'll talk about minor gripes that some may or may not notice, but he makes sure to keep the review as objective as possible.

@@troymoseley7205 It's times like that when motion blur done correctly can really really help. If you are moving it would help soften edges but when you stand still the image can remain sharp. Pretty much how your eyes work. I think though it has more to do with the amount of particles on screen. My monitor produces a much nicer image than the 4k TV I also played on. It's to be expected though. A 66 inch screen compared to a 27 inch which has significantly higher pixel density. Games just look better. This whole upscaled 4k bullshit just doesn't do it for me. I'd prefer 1080p and 60fps with well done filters over some fake 4k, over sharpened image. This game is amazing nonetheless though.

They have the "Kurosawa" filter. His movies are almost certainly their primary influence. I believe one filmmaker described Kurosawa as "a man of extreme weather" which he agreed to. Because of this he seemed to have a particular affinity for the wind, presumably because it was dynamic, and has the potential to kick up in almost any exterior scene. So like with bullet time, Max Payne, and John Woo movies, it's just a natural extensions of style transfer to find a way to incorporate that aesthetic into gameplay.

I remember picking up that game on a Friday evening and just spent the whole night playing and finished the game around 3AM. I was playing AC: Odyssey just before playing this game. Ghost loads fast! Odyssey was a ton of loading, yet Ghost is faster and amazing to look at as well! It's called "Polish", Ubisoft

Different games, different devs. Different game engines too, obviously. Its probably the reason behind the unskipable cutscenes. Its how they hid load times in Infamous: Second Son. Not to mention as well that the game was developed for one console, and released at the end of the current gen. They've definitely put considerable time into making the load times quick.

I feel origins was great. If they moved it away from the assassins creed series and made it it’s own game, along with odyssey it would make way more sense. Valhalla looks completely different from both of them, I don’t really think this can be compared to it

No matter what the try-hard anti-diversity militia would say about this: it was cool to see an indigenous protagonist. Seattle, inaccurate though it was, is a similarly under-utilized setting, as are most American cities, (hell most cities period) and complimentary to the Delsin's background. The graphics are still some of the best that I've ever seen, altogether anyway. It was a lot of fun to play, the power set was unique for a superhero game, and it even has a pretty awesome cover of a Nirvana track, for what that's worth. - _Eeeeven_ still, if someone asked me, "Hey what was the story about?" I'd just say "Um... uh..." for two minutes, and then forget what I was supposed to be thinking about and go make a snack. It doesn't help that the binary morality system fad was alway extremely silly. I remember Reggie, he was great, and he sounded like John Hamm for some reason. Just like J. Jonah Jameson sounds exactly like Bryan Cranston in Spider-Man. Which btw, despite how little I remember about Second Son, did anyone else notice that Spider-Man was almost exactly the same game, but with New York and Spider-Man?? That's my take on it, anyway. I gotta admit, I was also a lot less interested in the powers I acquired later on in Second Son, than I was in the ones I got first. But his wannabe Banksy routine was also... _pretty_ cool... Yeah, that's pretty much every thought I had on it.

The slient nature of the charactor is due to the reserve of the japanese themselves. They are an island people, and that goes in hand with the island status. While playing red dead my PS4 sounded like that until I cleaned the fans of the dust now it’s quiet, there is a RU-vid video showing you how to clean them it only involves taking off the top cover of the PS4 pro and using a micro fibre cloth and a ear bud

I loved TLOU2. I loved Ghost of Tsushima. One was one of the most emotional games I’ve ever played and was an absolute technical powerhouse, and one was one of the most fun and satisfying games I’ve ever played. I’ve never seen any TLOU2 fan hating on Ghost of Tsushima. This is a strawman.

A suggestion for future videos: Have some sort of visual queue for when each segment of the review begins. Personally I'm not interested in listening/watching the sound segment and it's difficult for me to scrub to the next segment when there's not a noticeable visual marker. @@Pokemark17 I don't think that's the case. Something i need to point out however is that i am not talking about the artistic elements of the game , i am referring to textures. I don't know about rdr2 but the Witcher 3 and Skyrim got some mods that enhance the texture quality x16 , basically adding even more detail to the existing textures. Has rdr2 such mods ?
