Marvel's first Ghost Rider series with Carter Slade ran from late 50's to '69, ended just how you saw in the opening. Then they bought him back in '72 as Johnny Blaze,.This origin movie stuck close to both Rider's comic stories and great directing /CGI, makes this a very good ( And underrated) Marvel film. Fun reactions, pretty ladies!

I remember seeing this as a kid. I dig this movie. When Carter Slade rides one last time, it was a hell of a moment. Golden memory from my childhood. Sam Elliott’s character here deserves to have his own movie

I'm a 47 year old rough-ish patriotic American metal-head guy and yet the best entertainment is simply these two lovely young ladies, Maggie, and Laura. Such a wonderful team with amazing Charisma. I love watching them react. I hope it never ends. And now they're reacting to one of my favorite movies. I gotta buckle up and get ready for the ride. I hope you two enjoyed this movie.

This movie is so underrated! It’s one of my favorite pre-MCU Marvel movies The transformation scene is fantastic. The choir in the background, Nic Cage’s over the top acting👌🏻👌🏻 Man it’s a shame some people don’t realize the pun/riddle of Carter Slade being buried “with” the contract. And nicely done Laura. I think you’re the only person I’ve seen figure out that the caretaker was Carter right from the get go 👏🏻👏🏻 Fun fact: the song that plays during Johnny and Carter’s ride and during the credits is Spiderbait’s rock cover of Ghost Riders in the Sky by Johnny Cash

The thing is the penitent stare is probably one of the most underrated and most powerful powers in all of Marvel. It's a power that even Thanos couldn't fight against. I'm not kidding actually it's in the comics

I love how they did the graphics for the Penance Stare, as well as the mechanics of it. Turning someone's sins around on them and burning out their eyeballs in the process is a worse fate than death, in my mind.

The fire, both on his skull, and that he uses isn't ordinary fire either! Its Hellfire! If you're burned by the Rider...it keeps burning and burning!! The Penance Stare is also a fate worse than death! You're forced to pay for your sins, all that pain...slowly eating you away from the inside out, leaving you basically a husk

Yep, there's different Ghost Riders - Carter Slade (his version was renamed The Phantom Rider), Johnny Blaze, Danny Ketch & Robbie Reyes (who drives a car & that version of Ghost Rider has been in the MCU. He showed up in season 4 of Agents of SHIELD). They're saying that the Johnny Blaze version will show up in the MCU on the upcoming The Midnight Suns project. Ryan Gosling has shown interest in playing the role, but many want to see Norman Reedus in the role (me included). There is a sequel, but that one has a sucky script. Some of the changes doesn't make sense & the story could have been interesting, but it wasn't written well. Though it has some funny over the top Nicolas Cage moments & the new design on Ghost Rider in that one looks so much more awesome!

Sam Elliot... legendary. There's a lot of people still waiting for Tombstone to pop up on this channel. He was also great in the original Road House with Patrick Swayze.

Latest news is that Ryan Gosling's going to play Johnny Blaze in the upcoming Ghost Rider movie. Ironically his wife Eva Mendez starred in this movie. Will she reprise her character too?

The reason of Johnny left his true love Roxanne was didn't want to put her in danger because he can't let his father's killer comes after her. He break her heart to he protect her from his father's killer. He sell his soul for his father. But he still have spirit and willpower.

Best live-action Ghost Rider ever. Nic Cage's best performance in putting life in Johnny Blaze. I don't understand what is not to like and where does the character lack depth and dimension. Good storyline, extravagant performances, score and VFX is what makes Ghost Rider a good comic book movie for any fan. I loved it in 2007 and I love it now. This movie shows the phases of emotions and hardships Jonny has to go through to conceal the fact about his anxiety and fears, that he is cursed by the devil- that one day can happen any moment. the fire effect, his screen presence all were awesome. The very first and the very best. Just watch this movie and put Ghost Rider 2007 to the test.

I liked the shot of the rider going up the side of the building. That was in the comic book, I don't remember which number, but the water wizard was in it.

This was one of Marvel's first movies like Blade before the world of the MCU was created. I love this one so much and by the way when Johnny Cage crashed and hit his head in the beginning of the movie that was real because Nicholas really did hit his head when landing but he walked away from it..lucky man. The eating only the same colored Jelly Beans was also Nicholas's idea because he loves those the most. Lucy Lawless the actress of Xena Warrior princess made a cameo here as the woman that smoked and said that a man with a burning skull sounds hot haha. Also side note this was Rebel wilson from the Pitch Perfect movie's first role she is the one that tried to tell Roxie about what Ghost rider looked like and she is so cute here. They actually used Nicholas's real skull to make the look of Ghost rider..digitally of course but still it's what his real skull looks like cause they did a digital scan of it before adding the effects of the fire and such...so cool. I love the scene where Johnny and slade ride off into the desert together so cool. By the way Blackheart is so much more dangerous in the comics than he was here but that's fine. I love this movie so much and grate reaction girls.

for more context the penance stare its the greatest and most unique power of the ghost rider it shows the opponent all the damage and suffering he did to the innocent and make him feel it all until even his soul is destroyed it only works tho in entities with a soul or that actually can feel guilt or remorse in their actions

They have been trying to get Ghost Rider into the MCU main for the last several years now. The biggest problem is deciding which iteration of the character (Carter Slade/Johnny Blaze/Robbie Reyes), but also they have been trying desperately to get Keanu Reeves to play the role.

Hey, Magy and Laura. I liked this movie pretty much. It was actually enjoyable. The action scenes are cool, the music score is good, the special effects are impressive, the story is well-told, the acting is solid, and Nicolas Cage is really good in the role, as well Eve Mendes. I actually liked this type of the character, Johnny Blaze. Instead of being a hard drinking and smoking bad ass, he's more depth, as someone who made this deal and he's trying to avoid confronting it, anything he can do to keep it away from him. He also felt bad about his father, who had cancer, and then dies later from burns sustained in a stunt accident after signs a contract and offering to cure his father's cancer in exchange for Johnny's soul. Anyway, it's a really good, balls-to-the-wall, superhero movie. It is a sour mix of morose, glum histrionics amidst jokey puns and hammy dialogue, but it's a mindless fun nonetheless. Thumbs up for me on "Ghost Rider". Ghost Rider (2007) 3/4 👍👍

So here´s another one I can´t believe you haven´t reacted to - "Prey" the last Predator movie (given that you have reacted to other Predator movies). It has a strong woman as the main character, great character development, great cinematography, "circle of life",.. Personally my favourite Predator movie!

Ghost rider is a menace xD his fire is not normal fire in the comics its reffered to as "hellfire" and it can burn the soul of the ones that are strike by it (this explain wind guy) and his bike can run on all surfaces and outrace Mjolnir. And normally his chains are generated from his body apparently infinitely xD

Magy & Laura There was motorcycle daredevil named Robert "Evel" Knievel 1938 to 2007. Evel was the pioneer of Extreme Sports such motorcycle stunts. I think Johnny Blaze is based on Evel Knievel because like Johnny, Evel had spectacular crashes too with some are on RU-vid. Evel attempted more 75 jumps (ramp to ramp) in his career. Evel even tried to jump a canyon called Snake River Canyon in a rocket cycle (Skycycle X-2) in 1974.

To be fair Mephisto did keep his end of the bargain, It was just Johny's father's time. I don't think Mephisto has the power to lengthen the life or prevent the deaths of people that is not under his contract.

This is a good movie, but it'd heavily deviated from the source material: In the comic book, after Johnny transformed into the Ghostrider, he would form the Hell Bike from Hell fire instead of transforming his motorcycle into the Hell bike Amongst other things

There is a sequel to this movie that is darker and has more action than this one. I highly recommend watching it, you'll love it more. "Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance".

Been waiting to see you react to this movie. I love it but also same time thought it could have been done more better, think the fight scenes were to quick and easy, could have been done better. Hope you will check out Ghost Rider 2 Spirit Of Vengeance, I felt it was more darker and a little better. Can’t wait to see how the MCU brings Ghost Rider in and how they make him look and what not. Honestly i would love to see a version of Carter Slade in the all white cowboy costume version but also would like to see a new Johnny Blaze as well

Nicolas was perfect in this role. Hope they bring him back in the Multiverse and have him be in the Midnight Sons. Nice reaction. In my opinion, I suggest you don't watch the sequel.
