What’s the Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance movie about?
Now hiding out in Eastern Europe, Johnny Blaze (Nicolas Cage from Con Air and Leaving Las Vegas) is still struggling with the curse of the Ghost Rider -- the devil's bounty hunter. Johnny meets a priest named Moreau (Idris Elba from Thor and Pacific Rim) who tells him that he can free him from the Rider. But first, Johnny needs to find a boy named Danny (Fergus Riordan) and bring him back. But there's a catch. Satan (Ciarán Hinds from Justice League) is looking for the boy too, and has a personal stake in the matter.

The first one was intentionally ignored. They wanted to make a soft reboot. Directors said they loved Cage in this role but hated the first movie (just like many fans did), so they were given a chance by the studio to have their take on Ghost Rider but with much smaller budget (and it shows). Unfortunately the movie didn't work either. IMHO their style worked great for something like Crack, but for Ghost Rider it did huge disservice making it confusing and unintentionally comic paired with Cage's trademark acting.

@@uzzy_787 I didn't hate it either, but I'm not a fan of the character and didn't really care much. The major problem is that it didn't deliver at the box-office and hardcore fans hated this interpretation of their beloved character, so the movie was mostly panned on all fronts. Usually the studios don't risk with sequels in those cases, but there was online support for Cage, so the studio figured that they can give it another shot. Sorta like Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool after horrible Wolverine version came back again with a fresh take.

Maybe, and I’m only guessing here so I could be wrong, it’s because his powers were first gifted to him as a monkey’s paw but is now more of an accepted burden? His power was purely fueled by darkness and not something he wanted. He was the devil’s lapdog. Now, his powers were granted to him with full knowledge of what the burden was. He wasn’t tricked into it, he wasn’t ignorant of the price. He took it fully into himself, chose it for what it was and what it costs. It couldn’t work in the light because of his hatred of the power, almost like he was ashamed of it but could use it when no one was looking. Now, that shackle has fallen off and he uses it to its fullest. Or we can stop making up excuses for the movie and just say they wanted to break their own rules. That’s far more likely.

The one thing I have to give to this film is that it was more capable of showing just how brutal, terrifying, and powerful Ghost Rider truly was than the first film could. Still had an absolutely terrible story, but it holds a place in my heart nonetheless

I'm holding out hope that he'll be in the Midnight Sons movie, but both Johnny Blaze GR and Danny Ketch GR have been in the Midnight Sons. They'll probably just leave it as Johnny Blaze. That said if they wanted to they could have both Johnny, Danny and even Vengence chucked in there as they were all part of the team at one stage or another.

I thought it was kinda funny how Danny tricked Satan by how he said "My power's and yours are the the same, That's what you said, like father, like son". Satan had that look of yeah I did say that but what is your point?? Johnny was listening to Danny as he said those word's that's when Johnny remembered when he signed the contract, He told Danny to do it. If Satan would've never told Danny that Danny had power's then Johnny would be dead, Since Satan told Danny that he has the same power's as him he forgot that Danny could give Johnny's power's back.

these type of movies is where it can be written a bit darker from all the hell and demons angle. it can be written at different points in time, from the roman era to the wild west to the 90s. this movies are fantastic. from blade to ghost rider and constantine they are awesome movies
