I grew up in the 80's and I fell in love with the original. This movie has been a longtime coming, hearing the proton pack turn on and ecto sirens I love hearing it. McKenna Grace did a amazing job, you know you have a hit when Harold Ramis family actually gave Jason the go after reading it. Fun fact the ghost of egon at the end when we actually see him is Ivan Reitman in Egons costume. Also in the jail scene the female cop is Dan Akroyds daughter. Thank you to Jason and Ivan for doing this movie right and to the amazing cast that brought us this awesome film.

Loved the film. This was how a sequel is supposed to be done. Had everything new characters people actually liked and cared about (each one) nostalgia respecting the originals it was very well done and a set up for a sequel as well wonder if we will see a return of Vigo ??

I love Ghostbusters! The movie was absolutely awesome. The little girl was so like her grandfather,it was so moving. When she made her call from jail and Ray picked up, I got chills. At the end when the guys showed up, chills again. But when Egon appeared, I absolutely cried. Who ya gonna call? Hell yeah!!!!!!!!

Don’t know about anyone else, but the shot of Ramis (in spirit form) standing alongside Ernie, Bill & Dan at the end gave me chills.

That was something truly at heart of Ghostbusters, and I knew at least with that score, I would be disappointed, since there is no way they would bring parts of that score back nowadays. And I understand that it just wouldn’t work with films now. Except...they totally did it. 😭☺️

@@masamune2984 Yes! And, They really knew how to attract new fans, while staying faitful to the old school fans. That score is so very imperative to this franchise. It just has a certain feel to it😁 Jason Reitman truly is the rightful heir to this franchise.😉

When I watch this on November 19, very few in the theater 😟😞. And I was the only going nuts at scenes when bill murray and the others reunited. And the tribute for Harold Ramis 🙌🏻👏🏻. And after this I went to Walmart and bought the bill murray figure with my other Murray figure from 1st movie 😄

Man after seeing the movie at the cinema I just want a sequel now that I’m boosted for chasing Ghost in my Town ! And maybe, there could be some references to the second movie and also find out if the Ecto-1 and the Ecto-1A is it or isn’t the same car. Now I know they used the Ecto-1A for Afterlife, but who knows ? Who 👃 ?

Reaction was ok, the reaction opening night showing I went to was a million times list especially when the OGB's showed up. But not too bad for wherever this was

It's an older franchise and people lost hope after the 2016 movie. Also surprisingly, the younger generation didn't get hyped for this movie. Blockbuster movies are normally packed on opening night and unfortunately, this one wasn't. In some ways It's similar to James Bond, it appeals to the older generations rather than the younger ones.
