@@kellymulderino7156 that’s true. You are right about that. I’ve read those proton packs in the movie are about 30 pounds at minimum. I think I read Bill Murray talking about that. Maybe I’m mistaken but aren’t there new proton packs in Afterlife? I read they’re supposed to be lighter and a little smaller in scale. I could be wrong about that

The 'Toxicity' is apparent when you decide to acknowledge that YOU are the one perpetuating it. You can like whatever movies you like....but a bad movie is still just a bad movie.

@foxy the joker fox *Sigh* I'm sure there's a portion of people that are being toxic about that movie, but...my honest thoughts? It just wasn't good. Loud and obnoxious does not equal funny in Ghostbusters. I wanted to like it when it came out...really, I did. Not to mention it came out on my birthday. I was excited much like I am for this movie (not as much, though) but when I finally saw it...it disappointed me. If you like it, that's great. I'm glad someone can appreciate that movie and see something myself and others don't see in it, but calling someone a toxic basement dwelling troll just because they don't like the same movie you like is very rude and hypocritical. Or, y'know, the pot calling the kettle black.

They already retconned that in the first trailer. "There hasn't been a ghost sighting in over 30 years..."

Holtzman was the best part of that movie .

Ok… now that I’ve seen the film (and loved it!)… some follow-up… Someone please tell me, when did “fan service” become a bad thing for Hollywood? Who were the idiots in tinsel town that made fans and their love for the originals a bad thing, not to be pursued? Ghostbusters Afterlife is EVERYTHING a fan of that series could ever want from a new film being made 37 years after the original! How is that a bad thing? The end of this film is just sheer happiness!!! Jason Reitman did give us fans a “love letter”, and we should be thankful for it! Such a wonderful film!!! I got instantly choked up, too (with tears), the instant I saw his hand…. You know what I am referencing if you’ve seen the film. That was one of the coolest, most loving, and most sincere moments I’ve seen in a film like this, and it totally caught me off guard! The way they did this was with complete class! And McKenna Grace!!! She was brilliant!

The clip was the entire movie actually.

We saw the whole movie so no, unfortunately you have to wait until Nov 🥲

It’s March. Well you called it…except for Egon. The movie was fun. The end was EXTREMELY well done, I thought.

I'd say this movie could at least be more better if not decent enough to be alot better than Paul Feigs version of Ghostbusters at least from my stand point.

I agree, he just didn't sound like himself, and once side of his face seemed to be drooping.

It's not Ghostbusters 3, as that would be the original team fighting ghosts. This is a passing of the torch to a newer team, so I get the subtitle.

@@Votesaxon07Reviews It's the 3rd int he series. It is 3.. Also, it's pretty much known that the OG (3 left) will take part as Ghostbusters in this film.

I refer to it as GB3. That's what it is. That subtitle is only there because that garbage came out out in 2016. I think calling it that would be better and just show how insigificant that shit is.

@@John231984 Actually, it has more to do with the 2009 video game that a large part of the fandom consider to be GB3 (Dan Akroyd has said it is GB3 but there's been no official statement about whether that's canon or not). Now, if the game is actually GB3 in terms of lore, then that would make Afterlife GB4. But since the game wasn't actually titled GB3, that would create a lot of confusion for the casual audience as, from their perspective, GB2016 is the third GB movie released, even though it has nothing to do with the previous two or Afterlife. It would be equally confusing to them to call Afterlife GB3 as they would inevitably ask questions like, "Didn't we already have a GB3 5 years ago?" Even for dedicated fans of the franchise, numbering Afterlife as either 3 or 4 after the game would be confusing and somewhat controversial as fans who consider the game to be GB3 would hate the movie being called GB3, and the other fans who don't consider the game to be canon would reject the movie if it were called GB4, So the easiest and least confusing option for everyone is to drop the numbers all together. This way, casuals can accept or reject GB2016 as they see fit, and assuming Afterlife doesn't directly contradict or severely retcon too much from the game, fans can do the same for the video game's inclusion or rejection from the timeline.

@@Dargonhuman Please break up your paraghraps. I'm aware of the game. And I know what Dan said. But it's still not an official movie. As for casual goers, as I said they aren't calling it that because of that abomination. But this is GB3. It's alrady been cleared up a while ago that this ignores the game. And please, titles have been way more confusing with movies then that. At the end of the day this is Ghostbusters 3. The video game isn't canon here and it's not a film. And the reboot doesn't count. This is the third film.

Ivan alone I would have loved to see. He belongs there. Jason I would as well. I'm suprised no OG team is there. We already know they play in the movie and suit up again, so come on. No Dan Akroyd at least.
