@Necramonium not for “normal” scenes sure but this one on the farm with hundreds of traps? No one has (would) ever recognised the difference. CGI these days are really powerful.
@@TrenchcoatSteve The reference to Spirit is to Spirit Halloween who produces/sells a cosplay ghost trap toy. The Wal-mart trap is from the same mold as the Spirit, but included a foot pedal to trigger the door open/close functionality.
@@jedijones They do have to bring these films in under budget. There were off-the-shelf Kenner diecast TIE Fighters used in some shots of Return of the Jedi. The existing spring-loaded opening doors of the toy ghost trap would have not only saved them money on having to create mechanisms from scratch, but also the labor-hours of the crew building them.

@@Lost_n_Found_1 But they are, if you look at the pictures you can tell that they are the Sprit Halloween ghost trap toy based on the paint and fake screws, and even the little white gears that make the trap doors open, and if you look at the screen in the movie where the field of traps open you can see the grid pattern on the back of the doors witch is another defining characteristic of the Spirit Halloween traps
@@elijahthekid_ Gosh... It's almost as if they modeled the repro toy after the original movie prop. It was stated in the video that they made them. End of discussion.
The Hollywood establishment is still Butt-Sore that people love it as much as they hated 'Answer The Call', if people hate what the Establishment wants and loves something the Establishment hates they will never cut it a break and will call any Success a Failure in order to not be proven wrong.
@@centrevezgaming4862 Well, yeah, I suppose I could have done it that way, but I still would've preferred an actual popcorn container made to look like the ghost trap sold at AMC Theatres and Showcase Cinemas instead.
Can you make ghost traps that can be for sale? I’m just wondering it can be cheap or expensive but I don’t want it to be in The thousands😅 Edit i’m talking about the money if you didn’t understand
0:41 i only clicked on this because i saw a balding, white haired man with his hands in his pockets and glasses on his face and thought it might be adam savage
Love the tech of the original two films, but to see the same tech in Afterlife was disappointing. I'm spoiled by the tech in the Real Ghostbusters cartoon and the 2016 Ghostbusters, so you would naturally expect something awesome. But no, it's the same ol' shit. The imagination of Jason Reitman is just astounding.
