There’s zero reason not to back it early and get the extra value. It’s going to fund so those other 5500 people need to back it now and if they end up not being able to afford it, back out at the last minute. If you’re a GB fan, and not interested at all just back it anyway, back out later. Do the community a solid.
I backed this day one I was one of the first hundred To back. I’m debating on backing a second one. I would also love a Janine figure and a Viggo with an alternate head ray. And I need that Tully!!!
I’m not getting it and I can’t afford it, but I might back it now and cancel before the end just to help people get Tully. I want everyone to get the best Rick Moranis sculpt ever.
Great idea. I have 1 order deluxe backed and then a separate order of 3, just to help push over the 12000. Ill then cancel the 3 close to the end of the haslab campaign.
Tally should be no big deal.So I'm guessing some people are pre-ordering a bunch. And then we'll cancel just to make sure. I'm really. Looking forward to tully otherwise i'm gonna cancel one of my two.
All these " Ship out any day now" lol. Getting old. I did folding one more.Has lab being this ecto-1, And Not the deluxe. But I'm hoping Tully funds.I might take one away.
I maintain that the early bird was a mistake...it will generate unnecessary negative attention that wasn't needed. Hasbro is already stretching people's acceptance with the crowd funding model. Especially with the dual offering...it's a more complex choice to commit to for people. Its really a head scratcher. I'm a little weird because I'm satisfied with the civilian Tully..lol..
I’m really torn on backing. I backed the other HasLabs but I don’t have a big *toy* collection, so I don’t feel super compelled to have a 2’ version of the Ecto especially because I did get the Afterlife Wrec-to. But I’m incredibly reckless with my money so I’ll probably ultimately back it 😂
There are whole secondary markets dedicated to making alternate parts for toys. I feel like we will see people make alternate doors and panels that can be swapped out that have dedicated tampo graphics printed on them. I feel like there will be tons of options once this gets made.
I'm somewhat reassured knowing these are somewhat reusable decals. However, and I know this is nitpicky, but for something so expensive and a collector's item, they should have been paint decos, at least for the base model. That would mean having swappable doors for Ecto 1A, but I don't think that's unreasonable. I would be willing to give up half the LEDs to make everything fully painted with swappable parts. The OCD in me knows that matter how well I think have those decals centered, they might be slightly in the wrong spot and asymmetrical.
It sucks balls that this has to be happening in the same timeframe as the Mondo Real Ghostbusters figures pre-order. That's a lot of money to plop down this close to Christmas.
I would LOVE to back this Haslab. But...I'll tell you why I wont be. I'm a European customer. The Deluxe Price with the Euro exchange rate for me works out at $520. Thats $120 dollars more than the U.S price and DOES NOT INCLUDE SHIPPING COSTS. Add a 23% Import Tax on top of all that and its almost €600 after exchange. Just not happening
Are you based in the UK? I'm trying to back this Ecto 1A and I am fearful of the same problem you mentioned: import taxes. I have heard goods are charged based on weight so I've been trying to find out what these Ecto's will weigh for shipment but Hasbro has made no mention of that.
@@seankyle1532 I'm not sure about the UK, but im in Ireland and goods here are taxed 23% of the full price including shipping on arrival from destinations outside the EU. What's annoying me is that the deluxe version is $400 US which works out at €370. However, Haslab have decided to set the Euro price at €470 shipping, a €100 more than the actual price. I've reached out to Haslab for an explanation but have been ignored so far...
Haslabs always spike after live streams and on the last day of a deadline. To be iber 6.5k at this point is a pretty heslthy place to be. Its still doing 400 to 500 a day and the last day will probably spike a few thousand. Hell, the Giantman Haslab didnt even fund until the last day and then it exploded.
@@makertime6296 You can also cancel before the 45 day window closes. They don't charge until like two or three days after it closes. There's no drawback to pre-ordering it early except that you could change your mind and forget to cancel.
You “puchase” but you don’t get charged till the end of the campaign in dec if it meets the goal. If you decide to cancel before the charge date you never have funds taken out. That’s why it makes no sense to wait till the last few days to “purchase”
