To those trying to obtain the lab rat badge, my advice is this: When the lights cut out towards the end, use the trap and the light bulb that are visible in the middle of the room as a marker for where the middle of the room is. That way, it is easier to see where the rest of the room is, so you can flash and zap the spoopy ghost. Happy Ghostbusting! :)
You could do the same strat for hard mode where you go to the hotel map, go into the left hallway, and go left again and hide in that little pocket. In there, almost no ghosts will be able to attack you and any ghosts that leak into your chamber can be easily trapped. when the boss spawns, run out of the chamber, get the nearest super upgrade (proton accelerator is the best one in this strat), and kill the boss. It may take a couple of tries to try not to get frustrated.
Here's a tip! On the hotel map when you first walk in, there is a hallway on the left. Go to the hallway and go left again into the smaller hallway. Wait for the boss to spawn then trap it and you will win! It may take a couple of tries, but it's easier if you get good at it!
You basically have to keep taking pictures with your night vision camera and make sure that a little fella named dread isn't trying to open your trap. Just shock him if you see him but don't start shocking willy nilly because of the cooldown it has. Then you'll be in trouble
when I did it, I took pictures on a 360-degree angle to make sure dread wasn't about to kill me. First in front, then on a 45-degree angle on the left, then a 45-degree angle on the right, then 90 degree right, then 90 degree left, then behind.
