DID YOU KNOW? Twenty years ago this summer, I finally got to have a Sega Genesis. "Ghostbusters" was, of course, one of the first games I bought for it, having been a Ghosthead since kindergarten. The music that defined a summer vacation.....
Legendary Wings is EXACTLY what I was thinking! I grew up on that and R-Type, along with various others such as Zanac, Gradius (and Life Force), Gyruss, and various others. But I always had a sweet spot for R-Type. I've had "R-Type vs Gradius" debates with friends in the past. And excellent! I look forward to it! It's one of my absolute favorite non-RPG boss songs. It's hard to find a really good remix despite the large number out there. Guess I'm just picky...
Hmm... that was one of those games that I missed. I preferred either fantasy/medieval/mythic shooters or space shooters as a kid. Wasn't into anything "recent" history-based until my adult years (go figure). I look forward to it though. You've got some great stuff. Your River City 1950's remix is what got me to sub, to be honest. Any possible chance of a Ghostbusters "Mid-Boss" remix or River City Ransom "A Tough Fight" remix down the line? :)
Listening to this again. It really is wonderful. This and Apartment remix do proper tribute to my childhood memories. The only thing this amazing video could use without is the clapping sound effect. But other than that, it's perfect.
