I don't know much about Ghostbusters but I love military apparel and gear and that's why YT Algorithm recommended this video. Halfway through the video I immediately hit LIKE and SUBSCRIBE upon seeing you wearing the CWU-27P FIGHT SUIT (COLD WEATHER-27 PILOT). Bro., and you have them in desert tan too? You are bad ass. Desert Tan are rare in that they are exclusive issued to GI deployment in the middle east as that's the only region of the world they are suitable and once the mission is over the locals inherit them. Hence they are rare to find in stateside. The Sage Green CWU are ubiquitous as they are prevalent amongst NATO forces as well Thanks, that was the unintended highlight of this video for me.

Hey thanks so much Malik! Really great to meet you buddy! I'm going to be making a lot more videos now that I'm getting back into RU-vid. I think you'll enjoy a lot of them, as many will be about military clothing and equipment. Thanks for subscribing my friend!

In the movie Egon's uses combat boots modified with a zip. It looks a lot like the Corcoran but it is another model produced for the army in the 50s during the Korean war with slightly different design change.

The original version's in the movie Ghostbusters were produced back then off the shelf at any footwear store or surplus store they were a popular brand Carolinas, they produced the side zippered (steel or brass) cap toed combat boots that originally had a real leather mid sole and full rubber biltrite outsole. That's the version used, I know because I was in the army at the time when I saw the movie and remember helicopter crew guys wearing them. Went and got a set then later found another original set on ebay years ago. Super comfy and easy on off. Carolina made a straight toe combat boot,a paratrooper half sole jump boot and a captoed lace up only version and a steel captoed version. They were bought by cove shoe in the early 2000s and their models vanished, cove also owns H&H and Corcoran name brands. That's why they all look alike now. In 1983 when I went into the army the Corcoran was still produced by acme boot Co who had owned the name brand since the early 70s and operated Stoughton mass original plant, H&H jump boots were the poor man's jump boots and may have been a cove product then. Georgia boots made pair-a-trooper jump boots still but the only other actual zippered built paratrooper style combat boots were a type that looked a lot like the Carolina called Hazen and they came with thick suede bellow tongues that couldn't be shined. Hope this helped and you can still find original minty wearable Carolina zipper boots on ebay under jump boots or vintage combat boots.

@@landrecce I think he means the step before that, where you scrapped off the black paint. I have the same question 😂 It doesn’t look like sandpaper but something else

Oh hey man!! Yeah it's just sandpaper. The colour is probably what makes you think otherwise. It might be body shop sandpaper rather than carpentry sandpaper, which is likely better on metal, but either will work and the grit ratings are the same. Good luck on your boots man!
