I'm glad! I posted this two years ago and it had a few thousand views. And then Afterlife came out and it's over 40k in a few weeks! I'm glad everybody is seeing it now, because it was marvelous and emotional to experience live!
I would not have been disappointed if they had worked some of this arrangement into Afterlife's score. I was listening for it since I knew Peter Bernstein was involved in the new movie.
I should have mentioned, they didn't perform Ghostbusters or any of the other pop songs throughout the movie, so it was a complete surprise when they started playing Ghostbusters!
If we're going to be listing our favorite childhood franchises, I'm gonna throw Rocky in there. I would LOVE to see that performed by a symphony/orchestra.
Ghostbusters is my favorite comedy of all time and it's so cool to see it with a live orchestra. I heard they were doing this a couple of years ago and it's awesome to actually see and hear at least part of it. I got some major Real Ghostbusters vibes with some of the notes.
As a fan of pop culture movies and comics I said grandiose and awesome job to the Orchestra for this Ghostbusters rendition. I love Ghostbusters ever since I was a child. Was most Ghost story of all time.
Elmer Bernstein is the composer. Peter may have collaborated with his dad on Ghostbusters 1984. Peter did advise on the new Ghostbusters Afterlife with composer Simonson.
The more I watch this video, the more I realise that we'll never ever have smth equal to Ghostbusters or other unique jams of VHS era: cinematography, casting, script, dialogs and of course score are outta this planet. Thanks for this video! From Belarus with love ○●○
Freaking amazing!!!!! I wish I was there to see the whole show!!!! Will they do this again?!?! And I heard you sing “busting makes me feel good “! You have pipes, love!!! I’m subscribing just because of that!
That's pretty cool! I like how they actually played the song, too! Based on your other comment about them skipping the pop songs throughout this must have been a real shock!
It was a huge surprise! It sounds stupid, but I'm such a huge fan and it's always been in my life, I really held back tears so many times. It was an official Ghostbusters event with Ivan Reitman in attendance and an introduction clip from Dan Aykroyd, so I felt like REAL Ghostbusters music was coursing through my body. HAHA! Sitting so close I could feel every note.
I did, too! And Home Alone. The San Francisco Symphony is amazing. Most of my videos are lame, but check out the one I posted from Home Alone! Jurassic Park is there, too. I think.
It was one of the most amazing nights of my life! Ghostbusters is my favorite movie. Ivan Reitman was there! And the conductor is the son of Elmer Bernstein, whom was the composer of the score. If you didn't already know that!
This was two years ago and I only had a couple thousand views. And then Afterlife came out and it suddenly went viral! Well, viral to me. Everybody is finding it along with you!
@@joshualopez3260 After seeing this movie I used to annoy my parents whenever we were in the car by constantly repeating the line Bill Murray says: "C'mon! Let's run some red lights!" lol
@@joshualopez3260 “Yes I’m actually a good friend of his, he told me to meet me here” a minute and a half later “THERE IS NO DANA ONLY ZUUL” “Oh what a lovely singing voice you must have”
They sure did. It was insane. They didn't play any of the pop songs, though. Nor the Ghostbusters theme at the beginning, so that part was a total surprise at the end. Ivan Reitman was there and the conductor is the son of the film's composer, Elmer Bernstein!
