Ghostface is such a genuine, straight up real artist. I mean most dudes won't admit to having the kind of contradictions that Ghost has in this video. He talks about how girl did him wrong but openly says that his chicks on the side were nothing to him. Most artists would've fronted and said "oh no baby I was perfect I never ever ever cheated" in this kind of song and make themselves look like the fucking definition of chivalry or something.
Music has changed, it was better back in the days...even the music videos were entertaining and the situation is so real, the way they dress, the bling bling icy jewelry, fur coats... everything was on point
Lol, this exact sentiment will be repeated about music from now in the future It’s a cycle, every generation thinks they had it best Pretty sure the generation of the past thought the music from their youth was better than this song too Ignorant if you stay stuck glorifying the past and not seeing the good shit being made now Mainstream music now isn’t much to write home about because of the kind of music that is given platforms but generally we are in the golden age of music. Smino just released, Nxworries just released, Mick Jenkins & Earl Sweatshirt dropped solid tapes this year, the list of young artistes experimenting and pushing the standards higher goes on but if you want to stay stuck in the past, nobody can save you
@@oc_georgeit's been solidified that the golden era of hip hop has come and gone everything is watered-down all the same shit yes there is a few artists still breaking sounds and paving there respective lanes but not enough to say music now is better than it was then cuz that's just a flat out lie no opinions just facts don't @ me dick smoker
this song got some classic lines! "my girl cousins they gone rock you" "oh it's stuck, i'll take the whole finger" "and the puppies they staying yo" "I had to give it to him quick old fashion back of the mall" ... I love that good ol 90's 2000's music they actually said something and the videos was hot WHAT HAPPEN TO MUSIC VIDEOS
Born in 92 I was too young to witness the prime Wu years, this was a pleasant introduction which helped me check their back catalog and I’m glad they’re still getting their flowers till this day 👐🏾
"I should get my girl cousins to rock you" lol who remembers that skit where the lil kid is cussing out Ghostdini and Ghost is like "I should get my 6 yr old son to smack u up" Ghost is Legendary
Dude is one of the best to ever do it. Unlike most of Ghosts songs this was all over the radio. He was already a vet but still rapping with a sense of urgency
I can guarantee these youngins can't dig this. This was straight hood spitting. No bugglegum beat, no silly catch phrases, just raw storytelling with a dope ghetto track and neyo the great in the background. I miss these times and the artists that made them memorable. Todays generation can only hope to remember the trash played on the airwaves now a days.
"Damn...damn ma we ain't even have to go though it like that..it wasn't even that big then ....you know its aight though...but anyway let me me get that coat..and that rock on your finger...oh it's stuck? I'll take the whole finger then" Straight savage
@@emar848 The videos that accompanied the music were hilarious! It was one video but in chapters I think. I used to run to Wizard Of Poetry in the mornings. Helped me fall into a good focus.
*Sir Ghostface literally demonstrated the song 'Irreplaceable' which Ne-Yo happened to write...the new doll was like the new & improved replacement. lol!!* 😆
When this dropped, I was in Detroit. It was huge!! Then I moved back to Dallas after the summer, I played it for my friends at school and they never heard it. And I never heard on the radio down here either. This was only released up north/east coast. There plenty of great songs I heard in Michigan that never got play down here. I'm thankful for those experiences!!
2021...if you know what's what, you know that Ghost a finesse lyricist on a whole nuva level. Prob one of the best outta Wu camp and def one of East coast finest
You gotta love the way NY 🥷🏿describe ppl “the bud basketball dude” Or in biggie song “I got a story to tell” big said “I don’t know, one of dem 6’9 🥷🏿’s” 😂😂😂
I remember when this came out, I took the pen and pad out with the boom box and use to pause, play and rewind the lyrics to this song just to recite them verbally! Forever favorite song from Ghostface !
Maturity is when you stop laughing at the end of the video where the guy is getting chased. Yes, I used to laugh my behind off at that but now that I'm older I understand the video and the song. That's growth!
Still slappin this here in 2k24 player! Shout out to them legendary guys GHOSTFACE KILLAH & NE-YO!!✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿 If you wondering why I said Ne-Yo too...do your research on that player! Its crazy!!
