Ghostriders Table Mountain Climb & Abseil 

Yes it was an amazing experience, especially since I had never abseiled before. They claim it is the world's highest commercial abseil and the motto of the company was "Dope on a Rope". We loved Capetown and thoroughly enjoyed our time cycling and travelling in Africa. We leave in a few weeks for 5 weeks of cycling in Europe so can't wait to get underway.

That sounds fantastic. We only had 1 full day in Capetown. We were spending most of our trip in the winelands to the north, staying on a friend's wine estate near Tulbagh. Apparently the vineyard also periodically hosts one of those bike contests (they said one that is only matched by the Tour De France). Enjoy cycling in Europe. I did a ton of that in my youth (as I originally come from the Czech Republic). Riding through the villages and fields makes for some of my most wonderful childhood memories. I rode from the Czech Republic to Poland and back a few times. Have a wonderful time!!!

Capetown was everybody's favourite town, much nicer than Jo'burg or Pretoria. It is especially beautiful when seen from out at sea. I love cycling in Europe as it is so welcoming to riders from Australia. I return to different parts of Europe every year for rides, so we have seen quite a lot of the place. One of our rides was along the Elbe from Prague to Dresden. This year we will be following the Rhine from Mainz to Basel, then riding from Paris to Mont St Michel, then riding around Brittany and finally having a week riding around the Channel Islands. It will be huge fun.
