In the hit comedy series "Ghosts," a young couple inherits a Victorian Era mansion in upstate New York, only to discover they have company: a motley crew of the dearly departed. Correspondent Nancy Giles talks with cast members Rose McIver, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Rebecca Wisocky, Devan Chandler Long, Román Zaragoza, Asher Grodman, Danielle Pinnock and Brandon Scott Jones, along with writer-producers Joe Wiseman and Joe Port, about playing death for laughs.

I totally agree! Each episode has at least a couple of laugh so hard out loud moments and even when it is not, it has so much heart - I love the actors and their characters! The ghosts are fantastic and each is so unique. I watch the episodes over again each week at least 2-3 times and then after the season was over I watched them all again.

I am South African and just LOVE both the British and USA shows. Each is unique and full of humour. Although I love all the actors, Isaac is my favourite.

@@raykuc I have to say, maybe it helps to have lived on both sides of the Atlantic. The original series in the UK is helped by the fact that we all know the players from a children's TV show that aired there called 'Horrible Histories'. When Mathew Braynton showed up in the US series as a guest star, we all squee'd.

In case anyone is curious, there are 8 Main Ghosts (Thorfinn, Sasappis, Isaac, Hetty, Alberta, Flower, Pete, & Trevor), & at least a dozen Minor Ghosts (Nygel & 2 British soldiers, Nancy & at least 6 Cholera victims, Elias, Molly, Crash, Stephanie, & Jessica) that currently or formally haunt the mansion the series takes place at.

Ghosts is my favorite sitcom. I had to go back and bingewatch Season 1, and then watch Season 2 on network tv. So glad there will be a Season 3. Yay!

I'm so glad it's getting recognition - it's such a great show! This day and age, so hard to get a sitcom on network tv -- it says something that as well as it's doing, they still were holding their breath for a season 3 (even though another network or streaming service would pick it up) -- I'm hoping for 5 seasons... that's usually the perfect number of seasons for any show.

Don't know how it did it, but it hooked me. I'm addicted to the show and hope it keeps coming. I'd never heard of the UK version and it seemed to do rather well so hoping the same for this one. Great cast of characters and an endless line of story possibilities to keep it fresh. great show! Love them al!

It's strange seeing "Trevor" with pants. The episode of Jay gets possessed by "Hetty" was hilarious! It was a tear jerker when "Isaac" came out to Hetty.

The choreography when Sam and Jay are speaking in a scene must be extraordinarily complex. After all Sam will see and communicate with the ghosts but Jay can't. Wild.

The season ending cliffhanger "killed" me. I really hope no one of our mains is the one that leaves. I would be so heartbroken. I hope it isn't Nigel or crazy basement lady either. They all bring such fun and unique characters to the show. I thoroughly love each ghost!

When they were showing behind the scenes season three the actors in the break room I didn’t see the actress for Flower so could be her. Though the summary for season three episode one is the remaining ghosts help Sam solve the mystery of which ghost left so would be easy to know if it was Flower so who knows.

Oh my God, I love this show so so much, never miss an episode. Can’t wait for the next season. I also watched the British version, and as far as I’m concerned, our American version is much much better. Better writing, better comedy, better ghosts! The British one can’t hold a candle to it.

Great show! It will stay on for as long as the stories are fresh. Once they start recycling ideas, it usually isn't long before a unique show is cancelled.

It’s hard to choose which is my favorite! Thor gets me laughing hard. What’s more is watching the UK version- love them both but I tell you the writers are the bomb! British v.American humor- but both translates. As an American, I obviously relate to the American version….regardless- thank you! More please!

Having seen the UK Ghosts first I was very reluctant to even try watching this version... However I can't watch he 5th and final season as ofd yet due the network BS in the U.S. so I finally gave it a try... And I love it as much... There's enough to differentiate the 2 from each other so it doesn't feel like a cheap copy...

I was hoping you would mention more about the British creators. I enjoy the British series a little bit more than USA series but they’re both great. all the characters on the American version of ghosts are fantastic :)
