Chase Parrish passed for 306 yards and a TD to lead Colquitt Co. to a 30-13 victory over Roswell to win the 6-A title. The Packers finished 15-0, their 30th straight win, and were voted national champions of high school football. Roswell scored on an 81-yard TD pass on the game’s second play, but the Hornets defense, featuring five Division 1 prospects, could not slow down the Colquitt offense. The Packers became the first school since 1971 to win the championship with more pass than rushing yards.
