That's an interesting thought about Sutherland but my guess is that they knew that Destro was coming in the '83 lineup of action figures so they had to make room for him, despite still being a few issues to come. Also, I found it funny that the gun that Hassell pulls out looks suspiciously like a Walther P-38, aka the alt mode of Megatron.

Feels like they were forced to tell stories in single issues and it really hurt the complexity that could have been
