The knife you asked about is the Becker BK-3 Tac Tool. It was designed to open up cats and trucks with people trapped inside. The very VERY old Becker videos show the designer giving it to a fire department and they completely take apart a car body with it.
Another great review YoJoeJerk!👏 🍻 As for the knife yeah you called it,its a rescue knife its the main reason for the blunted tip so you don't actually stab or prick the person your trying to cut free from a seat belt or harness thats what the hook or cutout is for, the blunted tip can also be used as a wedge or pry tool.

The shield has a cut out in the top right corner, indicating to me at least that it should be carried left handed so that the notch can be used as a firearm brace, so yeah, that’s a real shame that it’s right handed only, they could have reused the Alley Viper spiny shield grip thingy mabober.
I will be using this Figure as a SWAT Policeman! I need Cops in my Collection and I will hopefully be able to get multiples of him. I only have 2 Valaverse guys in Blue, and a Female Figure I can use as a Detective. And I have over 5,000 Figures! Everything else is a Soldier, or Super Hero/Villain, or Fantasy Figure. I also can make my own stands for pennies. All you need is plastic lids, (Pringles work), and Play-Doh.
My Shockwave (unsurprisingly) had a wonky left leg, but once I heated it up and straightened it out his legs were fine. The knees do hyperextend forward but I don't have to articulate them that far. I ended up liking him even more than I thought I would.

I've watched like 3 times this week 😂 Shockwave was one of my favs in the vintage and I just order it yesterday 👍 I miss the backpack too, though the shield is ok with the swat stuff. Makes me think of a nemesis to Alley Viper (because shield and the camo) One question, do you think the guns can hold the silencer piece from other figures? Like Snake eyes retro gun or the TomaXamoT guns?? Regards.
how easy would it be to pry out the arm harness so that it could be reglued and set up for the other arm? The cutout only works if he can use it on his left arm .

The shield handle not turning 180 to be used in either hand is a MAJOR disappointment. Give Shockwave a nice shotgun (from Hawk) and/or a helmet (from Mutt) and you have a much nicer SWAT CQC Shockwave.
the shield cut out is backwards so he can’t even hold the shield and stick his pistol out the top cut out……I get the point including it he’s a swat team officer (why they would ever draft a cop into a special military unit like gi joe lol I guess general hawk was trying to think out side the box) but he’s ok a like him ok
Ya not to impressed with the accessories with him those machine pistols are exactly that machine piss-tols. Kinda cool shield but the knight stick won’t attach to it and the shield won’t attach to him. 2 small details that would’ve made him 10x’s better. And instead of 2 knives n 2 pistols 1 knife on the chest 1 gas mask head or mask a axe if they can deck out torpedo in a full get up for retail the can do a closer swat loadout
