GI Joe HasLab DRAGONFLY - Guessing UNLOCKs Female Joe & HAWK and addressing “THE CLASSIFIED LINE IS DEAD” #gijoe #haslab #dragonfly #hasbro #actionfigures #classified
I think it's airborne and lifeline. When hawk introduces the winch on the dragonfly they talk about a character dropping in or a character going on rescue missions
@@BaldyLockz the 40th anniversary figures had Jodie Shoorer Craig, a fan made character from the Amazon fan fic kindle books, and Gary Sightline Goggles Head. Memorial figure if a great contributor in the community.
It's a great time to be a classified collector. Definitely not dead. It's pretty hot right now, that they could probably do 2 Haslabs a year and still get them backed. Love the channel
Someone made an extremely interesting point. These GIJOE Haslabs have to come with a troop builder because the vehicle is a troop-building vehicle. It was surmised that the 2nd Tier figure is a generic Joe that comes with various helmets/heads or at least another airmen so that if you get 5 Dragonflies, they don't ALL have to be piloted or co-piloted with Wild Bill and Ripcord. Sky Striker had a ground crew and the HISS had two extra crew members. So it makes sense that at least one the tiers is a troop-building figure, whether its crew or something else. The final Tier is not going to be Hawk, he was already announced as a stand alone figure and there are already leaked store codes linked to him. I think tier 3 is Airborne. Where he is Nightforce or not, is up-in-the-air. He absolutely HAS to be there. His designation is Helicopter Assault Trooper. Also, the listing says that there is a sticker sheet in order to customize the Dragonfly. I suspect that there will be names, like Wild Bill and Airborne's name, so that you can create the vintage version.
@@BaldyLockz This has become a fascinating puzzle because there are so many avenues that could be explored. Now that tier 2 has been revealed, it tends to shape what they may do for tier 3. Emily kept referring to the Skystriker Haslab and this Haslab has practically matched it. Night Force Rip Cord and a Scarlet flight variant (Glenda is classic Scarlet and Glenda's designation is Helicopter Pilot.) If they follow Skystriker Haslab....it's going to be a ground crew (like Mustard and Ketchup.) If they follow HISS Haslab, it will be Hawk OR....Cobra Commander; as Cobra Commander has appeared in every GIJOE Haslab to date. Hawk has been narrating this entire Haslab and has stated that he wanted "new recruits" to pilot the Dragonflies. Does Hawk consider himself a "new recruit?" Also, Emily and Lenny have stated that all figures would be variants or characters that they will NEVER make a mainline release of. So, if it *IS* Hawk, it would have to be a variant they'll never produce. Some are thinking G1 "Lieutenant" Hawk from the original 13, or possibly the 2nd release with the sunglasses and military-cap. Heck, they may even go with the flying version they released in either 1989 or 1990. It COULD still be Cobra Commander, leaving Ripcord and Glenda as the "new recruits" and Cobra Commander is the one that hacked the system. Maybe it will be the blue armored variant or the silver orb-head version....or...even the Hooded Cobra Commander.
I'm excited for the haslabs. I supported the Dragonfly, but I missed out on the hiss. One thing I would love to see in the classified line would be the playsets. I love the checkpoints, bivouac, cobra bunker. I hope those make there way into the line at some point.
I kinda think hawk as the final tier, the HISS tank did a soldier that we got to vote on the color. I wonder if the female 2nd tier will be something along those lines
The HISS had 3 troop builders and 1 specific character. What if the Dragonfly has 3 specific characters and 1 troop builder? I do believe #2 will be a specific female character.
Yeah, I said that scarlet in blue today as well. In fact, I'm more sure about that than Helix. usually, tiers are not figures they announce and are often a surprise. Granted now, they never said shooter themselves. that was a leak so it could be her. She is supposed to be a night force figure. And Ripcord is Nightforce. Airborn is the one my money is on. I'm almost 95 percent sure it is Airborne. Honestly, I have only been trying to get who one of two unrevealed will be, cause I feel pretty much one is airborne and the other is a mystery (but could be female. Hawk is one Hasbro revealed themselves. Plus I think someone found a hawk listing. So he would not be much of a surprise UNLESS he is the original blonde hawk. I don't really see the bomber jacket one being a Tier. They only had Hawk sense secret messages about the dragonfly cause he is the head guy So I'm sticking to Airborne. They made figures for the Hiss that had to do with the Hiss. I honestly feel there going to stick with air people. I don't know. If a female. I think it will be that scarlet figure. I still say it is Airborne. Also, Hasbro is into diversity and Airborne is Native American. Others have said Crazylegs. I don't see that. Doc would ultimately just add to the pros for me to back this. We need a medic!!! I am baiting on backing. I'm leaning to yes. I'm trying to see how I can pull it off. I'd like to have it.
Airborne would've been the obvious choice if they hadn't already revealed Rip Cord. My guesses have been Glenda and MSgt Culvert. A blue repaint pilot version of Scarlett and a previously unmade character based on the name on the side of the original toy might be a little too much of a copy of the Skystriker tiers (especially since they've already cribbed the Nightforce Rip Cord), but it's where I think their minds are at. Not for nothing, Glenda would satisfy your female character theory while an original design for Culvert could serve as an army builder option.
I think it could be Lift Ticket, Scarlett, Airborne or General Hawk.... I'm sure who ever they decide to offer we will be fine with the unlocked tier figures. I did back the Dragonfly, it was a good price and I always said that you can always resell it if for whatever reason you don't like it. I honestly thought it would be either a: Dragonfly or a Snowcat because we were getting snowjob and the Arctic Bats
I agree that some version of Hawk will be the last tier and the 2nd tier will be a female in a pilot suit, could it be Scarlett? Or maybe a medic with a stretcher basket.
If I'm guessing, there's no way they do 4 named characters in this Haslab. At least one of them will be a generic green shirt of some kind. I'd say Airborne is the 4th figure as Hawk will be mainline
I ordered (2) HISS Tanks. I will most likely order (2) Dragonfly's....I really like the vehicles, but not sure if I will be able to keep up with the cost of them.... More importantly, I do not want to miss out on the figures (kind of wish that they would sell the figures both with & without their vehicles).
I’m feeling strong about a female character and Scarlet is always a win. I like the idea of jet pack Hawk but people would freak if we didn’t get a retro Duke with jet pack.
@@BaldyLockz Hawk is already scheduled to be in the regular line up. If that’s who you meant in the jacket. I don’t remember Duke Eve wearing a retro jacket. 😂 so the dragonfly Hawk could be Col Hawk or Jet pack Hawk.
Nope, I meant Hawk in the jacket. I’m referring to you saying Hawk with a jet pack. Fans would freak out if we get a Hawk with a jet pack before we get Duke with a jet pack.
I backed it 1st day. The mystery figs they can throw anyone, but I hope is not General Hawk. I would like General Hawk for Pre order this Month! Great Video 📹 brother YoJoe2023
I'd love to see more original characters, but I have a feeling the third and fourth figures will simply be head swaps of Rip Cord, sort of like the Televiper, and low-budget Like the extra figures for the HISS. Male and Female versions Steele Brigade are possible too. I have a feeling Hasbro planed to do something with the Selfie Series for that body, but that program is already a flop. Hawk was my guess for the bonus "Cobra Commander" unlock too, if we get that far.
I don't think the unlocks, since they are uncertain, will be promised figures and ones of such importance as Hawk and Agent Helix. Also, I'm not getting this and want those figures, so that'd piss me off, unless they were just alternate colors. I wouldn't mind too much if it was the 1982 version of Hawk.
@@BaldyLockz Yeah, but they wouldn't put a pipeline revelation as an unlock figure because a pipeline revelation is a sure thing, whereas an unlock figure might not attain those sales. You're right it is a way to boost sales, but it then has to be exclusive to that Haslab for the next 2 years or so. Hawk is coming out much sooner.
if they do release doc, maybe he'll be sold separately as a sort of deluxe as you said but with the stretcher that can be compatible with the dragonfly like how scrap iron's accessories are compatible with the hiss tank. also titanic bet 😂😂😂
The choices are interesting, but we need something that will "sell" the Haslab. Many of the characters that you suggested, besides Hawk are too obscure and not "Shut up and take my money" gut level inducing reaction. Having made that comment, Freefall, the original copilot whose name was inscribed on the cockpit of the Dragonfly could be interesting!
Hopefully, it's Flash from operation: mind menace. There's no way he'll get a mainstream release. I'm fairly certain that Airbourne is the second stretch goal. Just makes sense
Great thoughts as usual Baldy. Line is dead? I haven't heard that jibber jabber, but I don't have access to the dark web, just the light web. Now Airborne and Doc? Well they got to be sub teams, I don't want a traditional Airborne to be locked behind a Haslab. I don't want any main line figure locked behind a Haslab, Wild Bill is an exception...he is the pilot....his name is on the beast. I think we might get Steel Brigade, or whatever it's called, as a gunner. I think it would be cool to have a green shirt gunner with one of them fancy flight helmets. But that's what I'm betting on, one figure being a generic gunner/mechanic. I'm having a hard time with the third....but maybe this, the 2nd figure a green shirt gunner, and the 3rd, a green shirt mechanic with a kick ass set of tools. I'd be cool with that. I did go in for three, one to put away and two to play with. I think this beast looks awesome, and I love how Wild Bill looks! Really excited for this toy....except....Rip Cord! Ugh!!!! It makes no sense to have a HALO jumper on an attack copter! It's really upsetting me, cramping my play style. The Dragonfly isn't going to get to the heights for him to use his premium Swiss air canister. Ugh...it does look like there are foot pegs on the skids....that's where I will stick his ass....especially after his cringe performance in The Rise of Cobra.
@@BaldyLockz Yeah, but the whole early bird incentive backfired on the Marvel Engine of Vengeance, because they didn't meet the required amount before time ran out...then everybody started cancelling and the progress dropped way down below what it was because they'd be missing out on a figure.
I thought it would have been nice if the would have thrown in a green shirt Mechanic intro a new Joe Grease Monkey with a tool box and ladder as an early bird special and a alternate helmeted pilot head for the wild bill body that bad boy would have been founded before they finished there pitch, you know I hadn’t thought about how fast did they reached 8000, that think is impressive I’m thinking of getting a second one.
That would be a great addition. They were trying to get Ketchup and Mustard for the SkyStriker but I think if they had them as an early tier and saved Scarlet for a later tier we would’ve gotten them.
I don't know I'm just throwing out weird ideas. This is my first ever GI Joe anything. I don't even have 1 "new" figure in my collection. been thinking about it for a while now after not getting the Hiss then this dropped. I see it as the start of the center piece item for me. All the other added items are just a plus if we get them. But for real its Ripcord, Doc, and Shockwave..
My guess and hope for tier 2 I’d Glenda from the Argentinian line. She was a helicopter pilot, a new character that would not work in the mainline and she could use parts from classic Scarlett as her vintage was a repaint of Scarlett.
I love the idea of Hawk in all green that would be amazing. But hard core fans would be mad that doc, airborne, being included in the HasLab. It’s got to be versions of character’s that are not mainlined. So I think it will be night force crazy legs and version 3 Hawk. I love the idea of the version one hawk but HasLab fans will be disappointed with that.
Yes, I am backing it and was hoping for Airborne and Doc, but you made a good point about having him as a deluxe fig. One of them has to be Airborne, and the other could be a new female( Agent Helix or Bombstrike), Gen. Hawke or another pilot(lift ticket). Hopefully, this reaches 13k soon so we can see the next tier!
The cockpit sticker on the classic Dragonfly says M/SGT W.C. Culbert(sp?). This would be the Fail-Safe equivalent character. The name is gender-neutral, so it could a female helicopter pilot. Airborne is kind of expected, but would be an odd choice for a Haslab project. He doesn't really have major classic repaint other than the foreign Python Patrol version. I'd think most Classified fans would want a single version. Airborne, Doc and Tripwire would complete the 83 wave. Lift-Ticket would be a good choice, since we will most likely never see a Classified Tomahawk.
I’d like to see Airborne & Pararescue Lifeline… Airborne, tan flightsuit, blue vest… helmet & steel Corp helmet (like grunt)….. Airborne is Native American which is a huge positive… I wouldn’t be surprised to see a female… generic pilot (breaker helmet looks like pilot helmet), or mechanic. Already backing this. 🤔 Figure rescue basket for the winch??? Chopper and it’s affects looks SICK AS HELL!!
HUGE IDEA!! Next March/ April: Fan’s submit an idea of a Joe they want made.. May: Lenny & team compile and shrink to 3. June 1: Yo Joe June 2024 Fan Vote: Hasbro displays 3 OG Joe pics. Fans have 1 month to Vote for who they want made. June 30th: Hasbro celebrates fan vote figure winner. Hasbro then begins design and works to have figure released by 2025 Yo Joe June…. Thoughts???
First of all, if Hasbro follows the Skystriker mold and releases the Scarlett in her blue flight suit then it will be a HUGE disappointment. Secondly, If Hasbro wants to ensure that everyone is happy then they will announce Airborne (he's on the cover of the original Dragonfly) as the next tier. I personally think that Night Force Ripcord was the worst first tier they could have announced so I can see why the backing has seriously slowed down as of late as I think most just wanted this to fund. If they want to increase their backing numbers then give us Doc, he is on a majority of people's wish lists (to include mine) as one of their most wanted figures. A realilty could be Crazy-Legs or like you said Lift-Ticket (as I don't see them making a Tomahawk anytime soon). Where I think you are 100% wrong is Hawk, they would not announce a staple character as this for a Haslab, especially when there are a ton of G.I. Joe fans that are not backing this. If Hasbro was smart they would release General Hawk in a 2-Pack deluxe sort of release where you get Lt Hawk w/MMS and General Hawk because let's be real for a moment, yes, General Hawk is a staple character but selling him by himself he is kind of boring in a way, I would get him because he is the leader but all he really comes with is a bomber jacket, helmet, and big gun, we may need a little more accessories than that. I also do not think Hasbro would release any of the name dropped figures as a tier either, most would sell good on their own, I am thinking Tripwire will not be a big seller unless he comes with more than a beach mine detector. I am hoping that because Hasbro is a big company they will throw us a bone and just give us a figure as a thank you for funding the Dragonfly so quickly. Bobby Vala also mentioned something about the Dragonfly flight stand, since it is clear they should have put pegs on the bottom so you can display Wild Bill if you didn't want to keep him in the Dragonfly.
There’s a good chance I’m wrong about Hawk and I’ll do a follow up video once the final tier is announced. I don’t want a Flight suit Scarlett either. I do understand why they went with NF Ripcord because they could reuse the mold and release a proper one with a parachute(wishful). They made the new Cobra Commander mold to reuse for retail minus the Mickey Mouse logo(not a fan).
I like her and the fact they went all the way back to the beginning to pull such an obscure character. But she’s still new to so many. I think it was a good call.
I agree, looks awesome. Hopefully people still fund it. I do also think the last character to unlock will be Hawk , the one with the flying stuff from the 90's I think. Not sure exactly when he came out
I disagree with it being overpriced, but I am counting on a total of 4 figs too when I say that. Resellers are a big issue but people in the know now have 40+ days to decide and can avoid resale.
