No one today on stage has that natural chest voice sound to their voice because they try to sing with “techniques” rather than learn their natural voice. This is what bel canto singing sounds like. Natural, open, bright, clear, but noble round and uniform

I totally agree Mark Bred, it is outstanding, remarkable...I honestly thought that the version of The Essential - Luciano Pavarotti, 1982, is the best, but a few days I noticed this one. Thank you very much musicsman09 for this video, indeed is the best one :)

This Is so wonderful because you can hear his true voice. There is no reverb and he is crystal clear. The voice sounds thinner but at least this is the real deal because ofcourse Luciano was the real deal

SALVATORE FISICHELLA , and there are many great italians, may not be as lucky as P or marketing as much success as he was. Pavarotti is the most popular one but historically there are ton of greatness in each type of tenors, no shortage.

Sartori ha una voce più robusta, adatta a spazi aperti, ha un repertorio più spinto, recentemente ha impersonato Otello, ruolo a cui Pavarotti rinunciò, ma dal lato interpretativo... può ricordarlo nel fisico, non nella comunicativa. Non è questione di "bodyshaming", Pavarotti aveva appunto molta comunicativa, Sartori rimane freddo. Grigolo recita bene ( e come physique du role poi!...) ma va ad alti e bassi...
I was fortunate to hear Pavarotti in his prime, during his 1978 Milwaukee recital. Not a particulary large voice. But its easy brilliance filled Uihlein Hall, despite its poor acoustics --

No es novedad la maravilla de voz del Maestro Pavarotti. Yo, me confieso fanática de él; y a estas alturas, considero que Pavarotti es insuperable Lo que sí, no disculpo de ninguna manera, es la lentitud al piano de Rolando Niccorosi. No está en la partitura. Un pianista acompañante, debe SEGUIR AL CANTANTE, no es el cantante quien debe hacerlo. No se trata de un concierto de piano. Si se escuchan otras versiones del mismo Pavarotti u otros cantantes líricos, facílmente se aprecia lo que digo. ¡Si tendrá pulmones Pavarotti, que aún acompañado de una tortuga como Niccorosi, la interpretación fue estupenda!
