Great silhouettes. Really excited to see the jump suit on the catwalk. Just seems like a collection from Chanel by Lagerfeld done decades ago. The accessories would be more in line with Schiaparelli or Moschino. Overall C-. Love to all the fashion junkies out there!
Its the shoes. Sometimes they are designed with appearance in mine and are actually impossible to walk in, they are literally made so you can't balance in them. But appearance trumps everything. That model I'm sure has walked in many shows, so she knows how to walk in heels, just not those made specifically not to be worn in real life.
@@alicemestria4373 I thought my explanation was quite clear, some shoes are made with appearance in mine, so they are structurally unstable, you can't balance in them, no matter how hard you try. Human feet are not made to walk in high heels. Most high heels are therefore made to ensure a person can actually balance in them, but some are not, because the design does not allow it, but the designer wants the shoe to be made like that for the catwalk only.
I ❤ this collection! Too many to single out, but my favorites were the sheer dresses. And also... nice to see someone having a little fun. Is everyone as miserable as I am? Lol. That's a pretty high bar...Why is everything this season black and gloomy? Is that just me picking the wrong designers to watch or what?
The main thing I want to call out is how EMACIATED some of the models are. Most perceptions won't consider the fashion industry as an institution of abuse but anywhere else in the world seeing bodies like these can quickly be seen as junkie, starving, etc. NOT MUCH DIFFERENT HERE. Otherwise, this collection is definitely a variety show. You have the absurd, useless, opaque stockings, chanel imitations, elegant, flowy dresses, and potentially injurious platform shoes. While many pieces are aesthetically pleasing to the eye, the overall collection is not fugly fashion. Not bad at all.
Seriously! Even for models a few of these girls were just hard to look at. Their legs were so skinny it was surprising they could stand. Not to be morbid, but my mind went to famine/genocide victims 😢
@Elizabeth Lemon I have often thought that. The required traumatizing Auschwitz documentary I was forced to view in the 8th grade has set the like of what a corpse truly looks like. (Odd that no other cultures received the same respect) It is quite painful to see so many of these women looking unhealthy. And hangry.
@@RJones-mx2oi I am NOT going to buy anything from this designer. End of story. Check Versace for example, they even have rather "big" models, I like that.
What do I dislike more: (1) the huge, tacky earrings, which did not even always go with the outfit, or (2) the high narrow, platform shoes designed to cause a fall, or (3) those pant hems dragging on the ground? Hard to choose. The only thing I *did* like about this odd collection is the movement, the flowy-ness of some of the dresses. We needed more of that and less of everything else.
I think there were moments of inspiration and beauty, but I agree about the problematic issues of those bad shoes, and pant legs dragging. I think the models should start to demand danger pay and detracts from the show and the clothes.
This was effortless elegance for the upper-crust of society. They are the only ones who can afford the clothes and also have somewhere to wear them. Everything was beautiful. I have two issues: those ridiculous platforms. Don't do that because it's unrealistic.Even though there is a little fantasy, safety first . Also, whoever chose the music made a poor for the models and the viewers. It was way more subdued than it should have been. But, I loved the presentation.
Listen, I can understand taking risks as a designer. Part of being successful is giving yourself the chance to fail. This collection had it's fair share of misses, but I saw more than a few fresh, original designs. But.... My god, fire your videographer. Or at least make him watch some other work to learn when you pan down. I didn't appreciate most of the shoes that were chosen... But I damn sure don't want anyone to highlight the struggle of having to walk in a custom skirt... I hope you read this. I truly enjoyed your collection. It was a diamond in the ruff. Make sure you're hiring talent all the way around to be successful.
the poor models could hardly walk in those boots and shoes! I think the boots were way too big for them. it was distracting. they looked som uncomfortable. the earrings were a disaster. looked like something from a flea market. as for the clothes, there was lots of potential there, and some lovely fabrics, but I felt that they had just thrown as many ideas onto the garments as they could think of. there was no coherence or fluidity to them in terms of design.
